so I can read and understand German but I can't type it or basically anything else with it (other than say some simple words)

How I started learning was one, have a dad who is mostly german and tell you how horrible your life is in German, and two, say simple things like:

●guten tag (good day/hello)

●mach schnell (hurry up)

●kinder (children)

●Nein (no)

●eins (1)

●zwei (2)

●drei (3)

●Beate (It's a female name in many languages, including German. It means blessed. It's my middle name! uwu)

●"Ich bin ein Berliner"  ("I am a Berliner" Famous words by JFK)

●Luftballons (Red balloons)

(I had to sound out how to type those so I could spell them qwp I also googled how to spell them qwp)

Speaking of red balloons!

This is a really good song to start hearing what german to English sounds like

watch the English one and then the German one.

It helped me with german quite a bit.
It's also one if my favorite songs! uwu
