I jumped to the sound of my phone ringing while I was pennyboarding to school. I answered it.

"Yo, can you cover for me today? I won't be in." Becky mumbled.

"Yeah.. Okay. Talk later." and I hung up just as I walked into school. I put my phone and headphones into my bag, and walked up to the second floor for my science lesson... With Alex. Yay.

I sat down, opening my text book, and answering the questions that the teacher had issued us with, because he was a supply teacher, and didn't have a clue about science. I sighed, thanking the heavens that the chair beside me was empty, since it was Alex's and I really couldn't be assed with him today.

"Sorry I'm late." The devil, also known as Alex sighed, looking down and making his way towards me. "Have you seen Zack anywhere?" He asked, opening his book, and not doing the work..

"No, Becky was staying off today, maybe he is there?"

"He would of called. Just shut it you worthless bitch." He rolled his eyes, slamming the book down on the table. Owch. That stung. Jack coughed loudly from the other side of the room. Alex looked up at Jack, and then instantly looked back down.

I looked up myself, meeting Jack's eyes.

"You okay?" He mouthed. I nodded, smiling weakly. "No you're not, don't lie to me." I rolled my eyes and looked back down at my work.

"Excuse me, but for this section Alex and myself swapped places." Jack said, to the teacher. Which then made Alex and Jack swap places. Jack sat down and engulphed me in a hug.

"Why are you being so kind to me?" I whispered.

I woke up to my phone buzzing again, at the time of two am... Really?
