Rulers of the Realms

Rose

I look at the door and Nyx and the doc are standing in the doorway. They start shooting and then Nyx calls my name.

"Rose!"

She tosses me a gun at the same time she called my name. And before I can even try to move to catch it the boy from before steps in front of me. He shoves me to the ground yelling 'get down' and falls on top of me. We hit the floor and a bullet grazes his shoulder. He's over me like a shield. He then hands me the gun.

"Well don't just lay there shoot them. I'll keep them from shooting you, just try not to let me get shot too many times though those bullets hurt."

I nod and start shooting.

After a few minutes, he gets up and pulls me up too. He blocks anyone from getting to close to me and I kept the shooters from shooting either of us. Once everyone is down me and the guy sit back to back. Nyx rushes over to me.

"Rose!!! I was so worried," Nyx says crushing me in a hug.

"We need to get going," says the doc finally making it over there, "can you walk?"

I shake my head no. He sighs and moves to pick me up. I move to the side of the boy that helped shield me from bullets and grabbed his arm instead. For some odd reason I trusted him more than the doctor guy. The doc motions to his shoulder.

"Can you tote her with your shoulder injured?"

"Sure."

"Well then it looks like your going with us."

Nyx starts to walk towards the door with the doc. They talk for a short bit and then turn to us.

"Let's go."

The boy picks me up and carries me on his back over to where Nyx and the doc are. We head out the door and down the stairs. We make it out and make a mad dash for the cars. The doc and Nyx get in one car and me and the boy get in the other. Soon we take off zooming away from that horrible place.
