Nyx

We pull into an elaborate gated castle and get out. Rose and Andrew follow us into the castle.

"Where are we?"

"Sunrise district."

"Thanks Ms. know it all."

I stick my tongue out like a child.

"Why are you two holding hands?"

"Oh," they say together, "How did that happen?"

She let his hand go and we all followed Lucas to the doors of the castle. He pushed open the doors and we walked in.

"Welcome to you summer house Princesses. The beach is out the back door."

"Summer house," I gasped.

"Yes. It's fairly small but to be perfectly honest when you biological parents sent you to live with your foster parents they thought you would return in toddler years not adult."

"What do you mean biological parents," Rose said in an oddly calm voice.

"I mean that the men and women who mistreated you when you were little we're not your actual father and mother."

"You have 1 minute to explain why we had to deal with bad people our entire lives or you better know how to raise yourself from the dead."

Rose started to develop fangs and I could tell she was mad. I was too. My life has been an entire lie."

"Nyx, Rose I'll explain. But I can't explain if you burn me to death or drain my blood. Now please extinguish the fire ball and call back the plants Nyx. Rose please calm down and put your fangs away and stop calling all the wolves. Being a werewolf I hear your call."

"What are you-"

We looked at each other and then to a mirror nearby.

"WHAT IS GOING ON," we yelled together.

"I'll explain. But first calm down and let's all go sit down."

We both take slow deep breaths and Rose's fangs disappear, and I lose the fireball that was in my hand.

We then follow Lucas to a living room area and all sit down. Me and Rose on a couch. The doc on a table in front of us and Andrew sitting on the chair of the couch next to Rose.

"Now. Listen to everything carefully because it is a lot of information. Before you two were born, the king and queen were always in disputes. A sorcerer came to them and said that he could take all their quarrels away and give them happiness, but in order to do so any children that came after the happiness had to be sent away. The king and queen agreed since they just wanted to be happy as they were when they were first married. The sorcerer granted them happiness. However, the happiness was in the form of another person. The queen fell for a foreigner and the king now loved a commoner that was growing to become a powerful witch. They told each other of this problem and their solution was to proceed bring the two as one. So the king stayed with the wizard and had a beautiful daughter named Nyx while the queen had a daughter a few years later named Rose. On Rose's first birthday the sorcerer returned. He told the king and queen that they must keep up their end of the deal if they were to keep their happiness. But the king and queen asked the sorcerer to strike another deal instead. They asked the sorcerer to let them keep their happiness, they would send the children away until their sixteenth birthdays and then they could return, in return the sorcerer could have their child bearing rights as well as a hefty some of gold. The sorcerer agreed and the children were sent away. The king and queen no longer were able to bear children, but they remained happy. One day, the kingdom came under attack. This lasted for a few years. The king and queen were desperate, so they went to the sorcerer. The sorcerer told them that he would help, but the queen had to a give into the father of her child to become a vampire and the king must become a werewolf. They didn't understand the request so the sorcerer explained to them. In order for me to grant your children the powers they will need in the future to take back your I will need your humanity. I say your children, because your fates have already been sealed. The children's I can change. They agreed but asked the sorcerer if he could tell them how much time was left. The sorcerer told them and he said that he would not allow the powers to start taking effect until both children interacted with someone from this realm and that they would not be in full effect until the children returned to this realm. The parents graciously accepted. They lost their humanity and left their kingdom to spend their final days with their lovers. It was not long after that Count Cornelius took the throne. It is believed he was behind the kingdoms attack and murdered the king and queen, but it has never been proven. No one could intervene until you were both 16. That was part of the second agreement between your parents and the sorcerer. Shortly after Count Cornelius took the throne, the sorcerer came to me and told me that you both were of the age to return and that I must go find you. But by then you two were moving around so much that I could barely keep track of you. I just found you both right before the car crash. That's how you survived. I rescued both of you and the two little ones first and went back for everyone else but it was too late for your foster parents. I tried to save the boy but the ambulance got there 5 seconds too late. Anyway, back to the story. The sorcerer gave each of you different powers. Nyx I'm assuming your good with plants, while rose is good with animals. Together you can control people, the weather and elements, and make an invincible sheiks to protect each other and anyone else you want from harm. Nyx your a wizard, while Rose you are a hybrid. Your half wolf half vampire. Both of you also have your humanity. Oh and Rose your a part of the angels so you should develop wings soon plus rule the realm of Lux while Nyx you get the realm of Tenebris and should develop some horns and a tail. Also, you can both shapeshift and have the three Ts. Rose can fly, has super speed and strength, and can breathe underwater and Nyx can be invisible, phase through walls and stuff, and has x-ray vision. So yea. I think that wraps up your whole background story and powers and stuff. Any questions?"

"I only have one."

"Yes Rose?"

"You said we're both princesses and rightful heirs to the throne. How can we both rule if we had different parents?"

"Because your mother was the queen and her father was the king. You two will share this realm and the angel realm will be yours while Nyx gets the demon realm."

"How would we share this realm?"

"Well Nyx, you either pick two districts each or just make all the decisions together. Or one can rule for a time than you two swap like the seasons. We don't have to worry about that right no. First we need to get your powers under control and get you both in the main castle to claim the throne by the deadline. After that we can worry about how to rule."

"One last thing. What's with this deadline?"

"Stop talking together it's creepy. The deadline is because that's when your powers will be at the max and you'll be able to easily take over. You two are to be sitting on the thrones at the stroke of midnight by the deadline day and that will make everything in the realm be peaceful for eternity. Oh course you'll have to start following guidelines and things after becoming queens of all the realms but first let's get you both ready to take the throne. Now, let's practice."

"Umm first let's eat and rest. Rose still has to heal and-"

"Oh yea. Rose just drink some blood. Your half vampire. But be careful you don't drain someone."

"I'll consider that. But first let's all get real food and rest. We can start first thing in the morning. I don't see how you aren't tired. You drove all the way just like Andrew."

"Fine. Tomorrow morning we start training. Let's go get food."
