Rulers of the Realms

Rose

After a while I wake up and I'm all bandaged up and Nyx is sitting beside me. We talk for a few minutes and then she leaves.

Not long after the doc comes in. He comes over and tells me to sit up. At first he doesn't help me but then after about the third time of me falling he helps me up sit up. He checks my heart rate and breathing and then starts to leave.

"Hey, where's-"

"Right next door. If you muster up the will power to move that much you can go see him. Otherwise you'll just have to wait and see if he comes to see you."

The doc leaves and I know he's trying to coax me into getting up so my muscles won't stiffen. That made me smile.

~And I thought the only one who knew I don't like to be babied was me.~

I make myself getup and on a scale from one to ten my pain was about a twenty-five. But I bit my lip and walk over to the other room. There I see the boy sleeping. And when the moonlight hit his face just right he looked so young and handsome that I couldn't help but to stare at him for a moment. Then I remembered what I was doing over here and go over to him. I sit beside him. We both were sleeping on the ground so I'm technically not at his bedside but his groundside. I touch his forehead and his eyes squeeze open. He looks at me and smiles.

"You're okay," he says sitting up.

"Just as okay as you," I replied instinctively.

He gasps and I look behind him. I gasp too realizing I broke my mute facade.

"You can talk," he says pointing to me.

"You have wings," I say pointing to the white thing coming out of his back.

We scream and the doc and Nyx come rushing in at the same time. We all look at each other weirdly.

"Ok," I say, "it's time. No more secrets. Everyone fess up. Staring with you doc."

"What?"

"Name, what are you, where are you from, and everything else."

"Why do I have to go first?"

"Because you're the oldest. Or oldest looking anyway."

"Fine. I'm Lucas, or my name is Lupin in wolf form. I transform into a silver wolf whenever I want. I'm twenty-three and I have a master's in veterinary science and medical science and I have a bachelor's in pharmaceuticals. Anything else princess?"

"Location of birth, date of birth."

"April 3rd and I was born in the common district of the kingdom Florauna."

"Nyx, your turn."

"I'm Nyx Storm and I telepathically talk to Rose. Although that second part is new. Supposedly we're princess of whatever kingdom doc said. Uhhh let's see..we tell everyone we're sisters so that we don't get split up. Because we were orphans and just got adopted or fostered a lot and to keep them from splitting us up we said we were inseparable twins. It helps that we look alike soon. Anyway we aren't real sisters in fact we aren't even related at all. Rose found me when I was ten and she saved me. I've been with her for ten years. I just turned twenty-one last May. I was born May 15th and I don't know where. Next."

"I'm Andrew and I'm twenty-one. I was born October 22nd and I'm a fallen angel. Meaning I was an angel I fell in love with a human and I stayed on earth instead of going back. And now I wouldn't be able to go back even if I wanted. Being an angel I was born in the realm Lux. I think I answered all the questions."

"I'm Autumn Rose. I found Nyx when I was eight so she's older. But I had a more developed brain so I took care of her instead of the opposite way around. I'm eighteen and I turn nineteen tomorrow, September 5th. I don't really remember much of my past that much and I don't get close to people. Only one I'm close with is Nyx. Now, that's everybody. Doc you said we had a kingdom to take back so let's go."

I try and stand up but stumble slightly. I push Nyx and Andrew's hands away.

"I've had worse beatings before I was five. Now let's go."

I walk outside and go sit in the car. They pack up and get in their cars too. Andrew is still in the car with me. And we follow behind Nyx and Lupin/Lucas as they speed off to the place that me and Nyx are supposed to be the rulers of. The kingdom of Florauna.
