It was an ordinary morning, Boram had just left dance practice at JYP, making her way to a cafe to meet with a few students from her school for a presentation project she had for school - specifically the subject of science. Luckily enough for her, she had Minjae in her group so she wasn't going to be alone despite being known to her classmates. The girl was the student many went to for note copying, or for information about forgotten homework and assignments, as a student of the student council at her school, many looked up to her. During practice, she had received a message from Minjae that the group had started without her. Upon reaching the cafe the group were to meet in, Boram entered, the door chiming as workers greeted the newcomer. Smiling she bows and finds her tall friend and classmates easily, approaching them as she held onto the bag strap on her right shoulder. "I'm sorry for being late!" the female apologised immediately as she sat down beside Minjae who patted her head as a welcome.

"No worries Boram-ssi, we just started," Byulmi, a classmate of the girl's smiled reassuringly to the girl. "Are you alright with presenting? We all kind of already went through parts without you," she said with an apologetic smile.

Boram waves a dismissive hand at the female. "No worries, the least I can do for not contributing is ensured the marks we get for the presentation," she smiled at her group who quietly cheered at her words.

"We can always trust our student council leader to help!" one of the students clapped her hands, smiling widely at Boram as the other students agreed. Laughing, Boram thanks them.

"Now now, we can't have her do all the work," Byulmi scolded. "Everyone has their role to play in our score, so no slacking got it?" she pointed her pen at all the students but Boram, they nod frantically before returning to their original doings before Boram arrived.

Smiling, Boram took out her laptop, opening it to begin research and started the slides the group would use, sharing it with all her classmates so they could access it whenever. The group worked in silence before a lady in her mid-30s approached them with a boy, around their age and a child. "Boram? Is that you?"

Looking up, the named female tilted her head confused at the lady who had called her name. "I'm sorry, do I know you?" she asked politely, making the lady frown before smiling sweetly at her.

"How could you forget your own mother?" she asked.

Boram's eyes slightly widened, her grip on her pencil tightening as she bit her lower lip, stopping herself from yelling out of anger at the woman in front of her. Calming herself, she fake smiles and looks at her birth mother. "I'm sorry but I don't have a mother," Boram informed, her classmates merely watching whilst Minjae placed a hand on her back, giving it soothing rubs. "I used to live with my father back in Chicago. Sorry but I think you may have the wrong girl."

"Boram please I just want to talk," her mother tries again however Boram interferes with her from ruining her mood more than she had already.

"I'm sorry but you have the wrong girl. And as you can see we're working on a school project so if you could kindly leave us alone that would be appreciated," Boram said with a fake smile, her hands clenching onto her pencil tightly. Her mother sighs and nods, bowing and apologised for disturbing before taking her kids away to order at the cashier, not without stealing glances at the idol who gave an apologetic smile to her classmates.
