Amytis, Jace, Nicky and Joe are sitting on the couch and waiting for Booker and Andy.
'Do you think Andy is really okay to take up another job?' Joe asked Amytis, he knows that Amytis must be the one who understands Andy and shares her concerns, her worries and everything.
But even Amytis is not sure about this time, 'I don't know, but I think Andy was...em...disappointed. She thought we change nothing, this is not the old world that we used to live...' Amytis hesitated to continue, 'it seems that she doesn't trust the mankind anymore and she doubts herself, a lot.'
Jace sighs, 'I have never seen Andy like this, she is always confident and fearless. But this is the first time I have ever seen her like this, we are worried but she won't tell us anything.'
The room suddenly fell silent, everybody is thinking about Andy, worrying.
There's someone knock on the door, Joe said 'it must be Andy and Booker.' Nicky walks to the door side and opens the door, Jace and Amytis also walks near the door side to greet them.
Nicky opens the door and stares at Andy, after a few seconds, Andy hugs Nicky, she chuckles and pats his shoulders then entering the room. Joe growls happily when he sees Andy, he hugs Andy passionately. Andy laughs loudly, she is happy to see everyone.
'You look good boss.' Joe jokes and Andy chuckles, 'you look fine.'
Amytis runs to Andy's arms and puts her arms around Andy's neck. 'Oh my god, I miss you so much.'
Andy pats her back. 'Miss you too sis.'
They greet one another passionately, they sit down on the couch. There are not enough space so Amytis is sitting on Jace's laps.
Nicky finds something from his bag, something wrapped in a kraft paper. He hands it to Andy, 'I have something for you. A gift, boss.' Andy holds it and laughs, 'Nicky.'
She sniffs the package of it, 'mmm! Baklava!' Nicky smiles, 'Booker, five hundred.' They start this old trick again, Amytis laughs loudly. Every time they meet each other, Nicky and Joe always bring some snacks like baklava for Andy and let her guess which place they have been to. And every time, Booker and Nicky would gamble and guess Andy is able to figure it out or not.
Jace laughs, 'all in, Booker. All in.'
This chapter is a bit short and I am sorry that I didn't update for a period of time since I just start my new semester and really busy on it.
