Rainbows, unicorns and flowers are the only thing I could see now. Pink and golden glitter packets with a lot of candid pictures and stuff toy. I looked at the two girls standing in front of me with a pure disgust on my face ."Is this your plan for this year's carnival preparation!?" I asked because unfortunately I was teamed up with Eva Jordans and Lucy Carson, one of the girls who walk shoulder to shoulder with Audrey.
This year our school was chosen for the Grand Carnival preparation and we only have four days in hand. Now, with these glitters and unicorns, I don't think anything could come up. I don't want my booth to be soo girly and also don't want it to be nerdy. Analysing my reaction with their idea, both of them first looked at each other then back to me and shrugged.
I sighed. I hope girls like them get brains equal to the amount of makeup they put on their faces. "Hey el, We are getting late for our spa session with Aud, so would you mind doing it on your own ?" They asked, batting their eyelashes at me.
Eww, fake. "Yeah you can go... Anyways you aren't much of the help" I muttered the last part, they giggled at eachother and turned towards the exit with their super high heels. Phew, a little silence for now, but before that I need to get rid if these things with are causing strain in my eyes. I quickly picked up the unicorn plushy and the packets of glitter, putting them all aside.
I scrolled through my emails, checking if there is anything important from a client or investors. Well I also looked over internet searching for festival booth ideas and guess what was the first thing came up, KISSING BOOTH. Nah! Too cliche...
I scrolled more, till I reached something interesting. "Confession booth" . This looks like something I can go for, Scrolling more and a more bout ideas and made notes on how and where everything is gonna be. We got a small both for ourself, so doing too much won't do anything. Keep it simple, yet eye catching was the motto. Suddenly my thoughts were interrupted by a message from Mr. A. We both are kind of excited and nervous too see each other for the first time. My nervous system hits in whenever I think bout meeting Mr. A. We have been talking for so long, still sometimes finds letters from him in Music Room. We might have nerves heard each other or seen each other, but we do have a connection, a force which can only be felt. So taking inspiration from Mr. A maybe instead of asking people to confess through their words, they can write it down and deliver it to the right person. But wait, I am alone here. I think I know, who can help me. I quickly took my phone out and dialled a number.
"Hey, can you help me with my booth?" I asked, I could hear some grunts coming from other end, which made me giggle a little. "Okay see you here soon" I hung up, I know seeing a damsel in distress will make him cut mountains for me. Lol.
Maybe I am just being too much today. Lets get started. After a few minutes I could hear footsteps walking my way. I smirked and looked up to see Zachary and Isabelle along with Levi standing in front of me. Isabelle had her usual excited face, while the other two weren't actually looked very amused. "Okay so this is what we have to do".
According we built up the a pointed roof first, which could help us give a magical aura, like a wizard's house, then comes up the inside of the booth. The booth was divided into two sections like we usually have in churches when we go for confession. Not really sure what that place is called, but I do know the look. Now the part where a person confesses. Every person would be given a page with an envelope, which they need to pay for of course, then sit and write a confession letter, whatever you wanna say and then it's our job to deliver it. It's a long process , but a fun way.
While helping the guys while setting the wall which will divide the booth, a loud chatter of boys was heard. Zachary and Levi excused themselves and went outside. I peeked a little to see Caleb, Dylan and Aiden. Should have known it. The whole gang is here. The boys had their own musical booth, which was a surprise because I never thought to see these football gurus having interest in the musical field. I called Isabelle and asked her "Hey Isabelle, since when did Zachary like music?" She looked at me and chuckled, "Both the brothers are fond of music since kids, but Archer kept his music only as a hobby and followed father's footsteps while, Zachary, he still have hope that father will agree with his career in music" she said and went back to fixing the papers and envelopes. Well that's a surprise. I never knew this and Archer never talks about his interest his music.
"Isabelle why d-" before I could say anything, Isabelle cut me mid sentence and spooked, "There are many things you have no idea about Eleanor, and thus sometimes waiting for answers from the right person is really necessary" she smiled and turned away. Even though she did not actually answer my question but her statement spoke a lot of words. I know asking her about everything is wrong and the person I want to ask these isn't even in town right now. I sighed, maybe she is right I should wait for Archer to come back from Italy instead of rushing to find answers.
I looked up at the sky, wondering if my dad is watching everything. Wish I had a chance to ask him whether the path to my destiny is right, or did I take a wrong turn?. There are thousands of questions I want to ask him, but for now, let me cherish the people and the things around me.
I saw Zachary bring his friends inside the booth, but suddenly the conical roof wasn't really strong, a loud stumble voice and the heavy wood log fell, but before it could hit the boys who were standing in the middle, a sudden rush of reflex rushed and I pushed them out of the way. All eyes on me, but the only thing in their eyes I could see was fear and worry as I started to loose my conscious and everything went dark .
