Audrey's Pov.

Ah really! Why does my dad thinks I am can be his next heir of the company, it's not even that great. I sighed looking at the papers in my hand which my dad gave me to deliver to the Kingston.

These Kingstone's have ruined my life, Zachary... a heavy sigh left my lips again, thinking about how happy we were till Eleanor and Archer never met. Now it's different. All Zach thinks about is Eleanor, it's soo annoying sometimes. What does she have that I don't !?.

Maybe she has people who care about her rather than someone who people like just for the sake of money or outer appearance. I am quite jealous of her sometimes. She always got the best things, had a super caring dad, then has a father-like uncle, then has a man head over heels for her, have best friends like Levi and Zachary... now she is everyone's favourite since she started hanging around with the most handsome boys of the school. Argh! She is soo annoying!

I groaned the car stopped in front of their house which made me nervous. I have always been nervous about visiting the Kingstone's, especially their house. It was huge with a beautiful front yard and their expensive cars parked. I saw Zachary's and Archer's car parked, which made me wanna run back home, but if I don't complete my task... my dad will murder me. I'll just go deliver and be out in no time. Taking a deep breath in, I rang the doorbell. I hope this goes well.

As expected one of the maids received the door and I was welcomed inside. One thing about the house was that it always has the same interior design, and the same Wooden furniture all elegant and classy lined with gold. The interior wasn't flashy but beautiful and elegant.

One of the maids helped me out of my coat. I placed my self on their leather couch and waited. These papers belong to Mrs Kingstone. One of the kindest woman I met on this land. She is never arrogant about her money or talent. Always smiling and faking care for everyone. I was tapping my feet continuously on the floor, as it has been more than five minutes since I arrived.

I bit my inner cheek, still waiting patiently. Getting mad and angry in this house is the last thing anyone would dare to do. So I decided to keep my cool.

"Excuse me, Ms Hunter, Mrs Kingstone has called you over in her study," one of the women in a grey uniform said. I nodded my head and walked behind her. I kept looking around, as there were many paintings and antique sculptors placed everywhere, which just added to the beauty of the house.

While walking, I heard something, it was more like a scream. I stopped on my tracks and peeked inside the room. It seemed more like a meeting room. There were a projector and a huge table. I saw Mr Kingstone, Archer and Zach in the room. Archer was standing while Mr Kingstone and Zach have their backs on me.

"I TOLD YOU DAD, I CAN'T CONTINUE LIKE THIS" Archer said, to which Zach massaged his forehead in stress and Mr Kingstone with no reaction. I could understand what was going on, so the moment I decided to leave... I heard "Eleanor won't know!" I heard Mr Kingstone say. I stopped in my tracks and eavesdropped.

"How could you think, she doesn't come to know!? How long will I be able to keep her away visiting her office!?" Archer said, it sounded frustrated, but the main question is, why would they stop Eleanor from visiting her own company. I was confused at the moment, but this situation seemed a little off. I might not like Eleanor to my guts, but somewhere I felt bad, maybe it's pity.

Suddenly I heard Mr Kingstone scoff at Archer. It was like he was mocking him. "Don't tell me you have fallen for the girl!?" Mr Kingstone asked, walking up to Archer, standing very close to him. Archer didn't look in his father's eyes. I could see he was scared, more like if he said anything wrong, Mr Kingstone will slice his head off.

"N-No, Father" Archer replied. I mentally sighed, this is not good. I may hate El, but I could never forget what her dad has done for us. Helped us through hard times. Made us home when we were homeless. I know what to do.

I walked away, but suddenly slipped, which made a loud thud sound as my butt hit the floor. "Fucking heels!" I muttered. Suddenly I see a hand in front of me. I look up to see Zach holding his hand out for me. My heart was racing fast. I was scared. Did they see me peeking !?

"I-I can get up" I refused to take Zach's help, but the moment I tried standing up, a sharp pain hit my ankles making me back on the floor. "Stop being stubborn," Zach said. His hands slide on my waist, carrying me up in his arms. He never fails to give me butterflies in my entire body.

"OH, MY DEAR AUDREY! Are you alright dear? I was waiting for you in my study" Mrs Kingstone said, looking at me being all clumsy. Archer picked up the papers which were all over the floor because of my fall and handed it to them to his mom.

"I'll take you home," Zach said and I nodded. I didn't want to be called "stubborn" again. One thing that stuck in my head was, why is a sweetheart like Zach who never hurts a fly, can be a part of such a big game plan. I need to talk about this to someone. I don't know, but I know who deserves to know the truth.
