Chapter 9
Fay:
"Let me get this straight,"I say, "so I have to go to the Ball?"
Raven stands over me. "Yup, now since it's held in the Kingdom of Darkness, we can show up as late as we want. It just has to be before the door closes."
I cross my legs. "Fine. Do my makeup,"I say with a sigh.
"Finally!"
She stands behind me, she ties my hair into a messy bun. Using a headband she pushes my bangs back. Shrug walks back in front of me. She grabs her dark eyeliner, and applies it on the the top of my lid.
And on my waterline. She puts dark blue eyeshadow on my eyelids. Then she applies mascara. Then she puts foundation over my face, and rubs it in.
Then she rubs in dark hot pink lip gloss on my lips.
"Now, go get dressed, in that blue dress."
I go into the bathroom, and fit into the midnight blue dress. Then I slip on black flats. And walk back out.
"Okay, now, your hair."
She walks toward me. "Sit down!"
I do. She puts my hair up into a fancy bun. "All done."
"Do I have to go like this? Why can't I-"
"Don't question me! Just stop whining."
"Now, I need to get ready."
She runs out of my basement, meeting my brother half way up the stairs. They immediately start making out. And once my room is down stairs, and there's no doors....
I freak out. "Gross, go do that in your room. No one wants to see this this."
They ignore me. So I grab a stuffed ani all from my bed and throw it at them. It hits Raven's back. Yet, they still ignore it.
Clenching my jaw I grab the broom out of the downstairs's broom closet. And I run up and begin smacking both of them repeatedly.
They brake apart curse at me, and go upstairs.
"Wait!" I call to my brother. "Didn't you have to get something, or something?"
"Doesn't matter, I have all I need up here."
I look down, I get a feeling, a feeling that makes me fealty, worthless and unloved. "What about me?"
"Oh yeah! You, I love you too!" There's a pause. "And I need you!"
I snort, feeling protective over my feelings. "You know what? I DON'T NEED YOU EITHER!"
"Yeah you do."
"No I don't. YOU'RE UGLY, STUPID, AND SOMETIMES JUST YOUR PRESENCE MAKES ME WISH I WASN'T ALIVE!"
Silence....
I smirk, taking off the heels, I grab my bag, and go upstairs. I say nothing to neither my brother or his girlfriend. I just leave, I leave for the Ball.

I throw my bag on the bed, so far, I'm alone. But, the guards told me, that at any moment, I could have a roommate. I hope whomever he is, he's a gentlemen.
I sit, waiting for anything to happen. Waiting for Cole to show up.... he's my brother. He should want to reassure me that I'm not alone.
Unfortunately, so far there's nothing but silence in my room. Nothing but silence, until my roommate shows.
