"We're just here to watch-yoi." The blonde had to raise his voice to be heard over the din of the crowd.

"We know." The youngest of the group replied. But there was a glint in his eye that suggested he wanted to be in that center ring.

The three of them waded through the stands until they found a spot they could squeeze into. No one was actually sitting. Heads bobbed around as the spectators tried to get a good view of the fight below. In the center of the building was a caged in ring and inside of that, were two people.

This spot was extremely popular with the locals. If you were looking to feel a thrill and gamble away your money at the same time, this was the place to be. Anyone could sign up for the fights and it wasn't uncommon for there to be new faces on the blood and sweat soaked stage every night. Just about anything was allowed here, making it the most gruesome show around.

The men watched as the larger of the two contestants grabbed the other, wrapped a large hand around his face, and slammed the back of his head against the floor again and again. Blood pooled under him, spraying arcs out each time he was lifted before hitting the hard mat once again. He'd gone limp after the second blow but that didn't stop his opponent.

"That's fucking brutal." The brunette wrinkled his nose in disgust as the crowd's shouts of encouragement only got louder.

"He's going to kill him if he hasn't already." The youngest nodded, his shaggy, black hair bouncing with each movement.

"He's already dead." The blonde crossed his arms as he watched with a disapproving stare. He'd never seen staged fights go so far, even underground ones like this.

With some effort, a few men working security were able to pull the winner away. The unfortunate loser was beyond saving. His skull was crushed in from the continuous beating, the once dirty blue mats under and surround him were sprayed with a shock of red that only grew as blood seeped out from the wound.

An announcer took the stage as the body was dragged away. He sidestepped the puddle with a look of distaste before flashing the crowd a smile and raising a microphone to his lips.

"What an opener, am I right?"

The spectators roared their answer, some pulling out wads of cash to flash at nearby workers so they could begin placing bets on the next fight.

"Now I know you're all here for one fight in particular and I can promise you, it's going to be a good one!"

Another burst of energy and noise from the onlookers. The excitement was palpable in the air, the three newcomers could taste it on their tongues and feel it in their bones as their own hearts started to beat faster. The feeling was contagious.

"But," He held up a hand and the buzz died down until you could almost hear a pin drop. "It'd be such a shame to move right on to something so big. I promise you you'll see what you paid for tonight ladies and gentlemen, but let's roll through some of our other fights first! Don't forget to place your bets on these next two fine contestants and enjoy your night!"

He rushed out of the ring as two more men entered, both bigger than the last two. The blood wasn't cleaned, bets were placed, and the next round soon started.

You'd been sitting in one of the back rooms for a while now, listening to the rise and fall of cheers and curses from the people. Right now, it was calming. You had your eyes closed and felt like the noise could lull you to sleep. But you knew the second you stepped in that ring, it'd have the opposite effect. You'd be high strung and ready to go, like always.
