george saw every judgmental glance they were getting from the other people walking.

"just ignore it." dream looked down at george, who was following everyone elses eyes, and was squeezing dreams hand extremely tightly in fear that someone would attack them. "also, youre kind of hurting my hand."

george snapped back to reality and looked up at dream. he loosened his grasp. "sorry."

"its okay."

"can we go into that store?" george motioned at a small tea outlet.

"of course." dream held onto georges hand tighter as they crossed the street without realizing.

they walked in, and the smell was so comforting. it smelt like citrus and honey. a handful of pretty girls were gathered around one of the tea shelves, and they all turned to look at dream and george when they walked in.

"hi! welcome to Teaphilo, how may i help you today?" the lady at the counter looked like she was probably 19 or 20 years old. she had really long dark brown hair, and braces.

"were just looking. we dont really have money, sorry." dream probably didnt have to add the last part, being that they already looked rough.

george let go of dreams hand and went to look around at some of the tea racks.

dream felt extremely comfortable with george wandering around by himself, even with a bunch of attractive females in there because he knew theyre eyes would immediately land on the hickeys.

george was awkwardly reading the label of a bag of sweet mango tea and one of the girls walked up to him after giggling to one of her friends.

her hair was dirty blonde, like dreams, and her skin was the color of honey. she had bright blue eyes and an excessive amount of bracelets on. she was wearing a white tank-top tucked into a pair of light blue jean shorts.

"hi.." the blonde girl said, and george flinched and turned around.

"hi?" george didnt really want to be talking to her.

"im emily."

"george."

please go away.

she looked at a loss of words, and she just shook around her tea, clattering the ice.

"so, do you have a girl-"

"no, um actually im kinda here with my boyfriend." his heart raced when the words came out of his mouth. he knew they werent true but she ignored the hickeys so what was he supposed to say?

"oh." she did an annoying little wave and turned around. george rolled his eyes and went back to reading about the nutrients in the tea.

dream watched carefully from a table on the near other side of the store until another one of the girls came up to him. she was an exact replica of her friend, except her hair was black and she had on a black t-crop top and skinny dark blue jeans on.

"hi!" she sounded way too excited to be talking to him.

"um-"

"are you single?"

dream stared in disbelief.

im getting second hand embarrassment oh my god.

"i have a boyfriend, sorry." he shot a glance at george, and just seeing him stand there, reading a bag of tea made his heart jump.

"thats so gross." she turned around and went back to her friends.

dream rolled his eyes and looked at his shoes dangling from the seat.

no its not. fuck you.

george came and sat across from dream. "hey."

dream looked up and immediately, his face changed into a soft expression with a small smile. "hi."

george smiled. "did they flirt with you too?"

"yeah," dream debated on saying it. "i told her i had a boyfriend though, im so sorry."

george laughed in disbelief "i told her the same thing!"

"did she not see my beautiful artwork?" dream looked down at georges neck. "i mean do i need to like do more or something? because like if i do, then say less."

george laughed and turned bright red. "i mean, maybe."

dream laughed and looked out the window. "did they not see us walking in holding hands though?"

"i have no idea."

the sun was slightly setting.

"we should go watch the sunset." dream turned back to george. "come with me." he got up, and grabbed georges hand and started walking out the door.

"have a good day!" the lady at the counter called, but they were already gone.

-

after about 45 minutes of walking up a hill behind the city, dream and george plopped on the ground. dream hung his legs over the edge of the hill, and george sat criss-cross on the edge.

"george be careful." dream had a tint of fear in his voice as he subconsciously put his hand on georges thigh.

simultaneously, they both looked at dreams hand. he pulled it away seconds later.

"i- i didnt even realize i did that. im so sorry." dream started blushing furiously, and he turned to the sun that was setting over the city.

"it okay, dream." george grabbed dreams hand, and intertwined his fingers with clays. he lifted their hands and kissed dreams thumb.

dream scooted closer to george and leaned against him, resting his head on georges shoulder.

they watched the sky turn from a milky blue to a warm yellow, and eventually to a burnt orange.

"i still think youre prettier than this sunset." dream still had his eyes locked on the sky.

george put his head on dreams and kissed it lightly. "youre the one out of my league."

dream smiled. he never wanted to leave this.
