they walked down the dirt road, buildings on either side of them. they scanned each one, and eventually came across a Comfort In.

"do you think we'll get sympathy points if we tell them we were abducted?" dream asked, staring at the building.

this wasnt the nicest town they couldve been kidnapped to, but at least they were in one. the Comfort In was rather small, only 2 stories. they figured it wasnt too expensive, but definitely more than what they had left. the building was orangish yellow, and had little lanterns on either side of the glass sliding door. the light from the inside was so tempting.

"i dont know." george replied.

"lets find out."

they walked up to the doors, and the glass slid open. it was bright inside, and the a.c. was so refreshing after walking a good distance in the heat. even at night, it was hot in georgia. even during the winter.

"hello, how can i help you today?" the lady at the front desk had black bobbed hair, a side part, and she looked tired. she looked 25, or even a few years older. she was standing over the front desk, and asked with a weak smile.

"um." george didnt really know what to say, and his appearance was not very appealing. he was dirty, he smelt like a sewer, crusty peanut butter and vomit.

george walked up to the front desk and gave a weak smile.

dream walked up behind him, not looking very good as well. his hair was even worse than before, he had chalky dirt and dust powdered on his black ripped jeans, his green converse had holes in them and he smelt like sweat, and also peanut butter.

"so this is a really funny story." dream walked up to her, and she backed away, assuming because of the smell. "me and my best friend came from london. we just recently found out where we are because we got abducted by some strange stoner who died the night he kidnapped us and now were in georgia. we have three dollars and twenty-five cents and its not a lot but we were just on a walk when we were kidnapped so we left everything at georges house."

george covered his face with his hands. this could not get more embarrassing.

"oh my god. wait, seriously?" the lady at the front desk looked so sad for them.

"yes maam." george said from behind his hands.

"all i can offer you is a one bed room, without a coffee maker. there is a phone in there, though so you can call your parents or whoever. heres the key." she handed them a room key, and george put his hands down and stepped forward to gladly take it.

"also, because you guys have three dollars-"

"and twenty-five cents." dream added.

george punched him on the shoulder.

"-and twenty-five cents, here. get some new clothes." she handed them both a 50.

"woah this is too much." george was about to hand it back, but the lady was reluctant. "thank you so much." george couldnt express how grateful he was.

-

they found their room on the first floor, and when they walked in, they were both incredibly grateful so see a made bed and a clean bathroom with a shower. the room was small, but it was nice. there was a window next to the bed, and a cherry brown wooden end table on the other side that had a phone on it. the carpet was red with green designs on it.

"i think we should go buy clothes from walmart or something, first. that way when we shower, we can put on clean clothes." george suggested, and dream nodded in agreement.
