"She likes him back, Mira. What do I do? I-" Jisung hiccupped.
"Ji, come inside, what are you doing here?"
"Taesa—" Of course. It's always about her— the main character.
"Taesa?" I said, asking him to continue as I gave him a blanket while he sat on the couch.
"Taesa likes Jeno back. I- I know it. She-she's always like Jeno this, Jeno that, why- why," Jisung hiccupped once again as he spoke inbetween sobs.

I was sure Taesa liked Jeno back, but his thoughts confirmed it even more. After all, that's how he spoke when he were infatuated with Taesa.

"Why- why am I not good enough for her? Why did it have to be Jeno?" Jisung whispered, under his breath.
"I liked her— loved her so much Mira. She was my everything. She was there for me in my ups and downs, cliché or not. When— when," Jisung stopped, trying to catch his breath.
"Take your time," I responded, though I really didn't want him to answer. It hurt seeing him like this— and it hurt hearing him talk about a girl he loved so much. Especially when it wasn't me.

"When I had a bad grade, she was there to cheer me up. And when my parents hurt me afterwards, she was there to make me feel better. She—" Jisung paused.
"She was my best friend, Mira."
