Fionna's POV

Marshall lifted the window open as I went through it.

"Thanks, dude." I said, noticing that the door was still locked and Cake wasn't in the room. 'Thank Glob for that.' I thought. She would have heard me if she was.

As I was about to shut the window, Marshall's face inched near mine until I could feel his cold breath on my face.

"So when can I see you again, Fi?" he asked, looking very happy.

I smiled at him. "Soon." I said, quickly pecking his cheek. "Later, Marsh." I said, closing the window.

He waved goodbye and flew off towards his home.

I quickly changed back into my regular clothes and pulled on my hat. Cake was probably going to be furious with my hair.

I unlocked the door and braced myself as I climbed down the ladder, but Cake was no where to be seen. But there was a note on the kitchen table.

I picked it up and recognized Cake's writing.

-Fionna

Went to visit Lord Monochromicorn. I'll be back soon.

-Cake

p.s. Sorry for yelling at you last night. I was feeling moody.

I didn't think that Cake was being moody last night. She just needed an excuse for her apology. Whatever.

I shook Cake off of my mind, heading towards the kitchen for some hot soup. Hot soup sounded so good right now because it was so chilly in the tree house.

I went and got a warm, fuzzy blanket from the couch as I walked into the kitchen and tied it around my shoulders so my hands were free. It was like wearing a cape.

'Cool, I'm a super hero.' I thought.

When I finished eating/drinking my breakfast soup I went to brush my teeth, because, afterall, I haven't brushed them in three days. Gross.

When I was done my teeth were bright and clean and I went back into the living room.

I look out the window to see dark clouds forming.

Jeez, will winter ever end? I'm sure Marshall Lee enjoys this weather. It's the only time he can come out during the day without being burnt to a crisp.

Grabbing the sides of the blanket around me, I lay down on the couch and snuggle my head onto the cushions.

BMO came up from the treasure room, walking towards me.

"Who wants to play video games?" BMO asked in a happy computer tone.

I lifted my head from the pillows.

"Not right now, BMO. I'm taking a lazy day." I said.

BMO gave me a sad look. "But you already slept for three days, Fionna!" BMO said.

"But I didn't sleep last night, BMO." I said, my eyes closing.

"Why? What did you and Marshall Lee do that made you so tired?"

That question made my eyes pop wide open. I shot up from the couch.

"How did you know that I left last night? And how did you know I was with Marshall?!" I was panicking now. What if BMO told Cake? She would flip. She wouldn't let me talk to him anymore.

"I was in your backpack, Fionna."

"BMO, you cannot tell Cake. Please!" I begged, sounding so pathetic.

I took BMO'S small hands in mine and gave a sad look.

"Ok, but you owe me." said BMO.

"Yeah, ok, I owe you, no problem." I said, relieved.

"Now let's play video games, Fionna!" BMO cheered.

"But, BMO, I'm tired."

"Ah, but you owe me." BMO said to me.

"But don't you want to save the favor I owe you for something important?" I said, trying to be strategic.

"Oh, right. Then I will take a nap too." BMO said as he turned off his power button and fell face first onto the floor.

I picked him up and put him on the coffee table. Then I layed back down on the couch and started to doze off.

During the time I was asleep, I dreamed of Marshall Lee. He was basically the only thing that I was dreaming about at the moment.
