Marshall's POV
"Um....surprise." I said weakly as deep blue orbs looked down upon me.
This was not the plan. Kidnapping was not the--well, it kinda was, but more of a willing kidnapping. I got too ahead of myself and acted on impulse without thinking, and no, that isn't the best thing to do but it seems to be just fine at the moment. Aside from the fact that I may get punched right now.
"Surprise?! Dude, you kidnapped me! No. Fionna-napped! You Fionna-napped me, you butt!" she said, still sitting atop my chest."Well, technically, it'd still be considered 'Fionna-napping' if the plan had worked."
She let out a 'pfft' and pouted.
"Are we gonna finish this conversation like this or would you prefer to sit on the couch?" I said while setting my hands on her sides and giving a fang-flashing grin. "Because ya know..." I let my nails run up her spine, causing a shiver to go through the both of us. "...I'm sure the couch isn't as comfy as me."
With her eyes wide and face red, she made a noise somewhat of a whimper mixed with an embarrassed gasp and rolled off of me in under a second and plopped herself down onto the red sofa with crossed arms.
"You could've gave me a heads up like, ya know, 'Hey, Fi, instead of stuffing you in a smelly potato sack I'll just take you to my house like a sensible person.' "
"What part of 'surprise' don't you understand?" I said with a smile.
She released another 'pfft' before stretching herself across the sofa cushions and giving a light yawn.
Shifting my eyes over to her direction, I picked myself up from the floor and hovered above her tired form, inching nearer and nearer until..
"Marshall.."
"Yes?" I breathed out. We were so close that I caught a wiff of her scent. She smelled like lilacs and and pine trees.
"You're in Fionna's bubble."
I barley heard what she said. I was much too busy admiring her eyes, her hair, her lips. So busy that I hadn't noticed that she had started poking at my face in an attempt to force me out of her 'bubble'.
"Ok, ok, I get that you need your space. Just don't poke me, ya goof." I said, hovering over towards the kitchen for a snack.
Poor Fi. She's probably exhausted from fighting. But she needs to stay awake to get used to a nocturnal schedule.Reaching into the back of the refrigerator, My claws snagged a bowl of cherries. Taking aim, I launched one directly between her eyes. It made a 'plop' sound on her face.
Her eyes opened and glared at me. I returned it with a smile.
"Do you mind? I'm tryna get some shut eye." she spat with a tongue sticking out soon after.Sucking the deep color from the fruit in my hand, I went over to her to sit.
"I know, I just thought that you might want to practice sleeping during the day. You know, since we'll be living together and all. But you don't gotta right now. You can sleep if you want." I said to her. Honestly, I didn't care if she slept now or later. She's here and that's all that matters to me right now.
She sat up, bringing her knees to her chest with arms around them.
"Um, Marsh... there's kinda something I wanted to talk about with you." she spoke with a shift in tone.
