Serena hears a voice and quickly hides behind a wall.
What she sees is the unmistakable figure of Ash Kechum along with someone else 3 meters away. The other person was a bit taller than Ash and had blond hair, and a rather edgy face. His attire was black and he had several cuts in his outfit. Serena began to listen to what they were saying.

Ash: Why are you back here? 
???: Prof. Kukui sent me here. Ash you should really move on. It's been 2 years
Ash: So what.
???: You should at least let him know you're fine. Snap out of it, Ash! This is n't you. Prof. Kukui can't sleep at night because of you! The fact that you literally closed yourself off for so many years; he blames himself. At least put his ind backk at ease.
Ash: I don't care!
???: I know what happened that day saddened you. It did for me too. After all she's my sis-
Ash: YOU HAVE NO IDEA HOW I FELT GLADION!
Gladion: ...............
Ash: You like to say that you care about your sister. But do you really? YOU LEFT HER WHEN SHE NEEDED YOU THE MOST! YOU SAW THAT YOUR MOTHER WAS GOIN CRAZY AND YOU JUST LEFT YOUR 11 YEAR OLD SISTER LIKE THAT, ALONE AND NO ONE TO SHARE HER THOUGHTS WITH. If you had stayed by her side, if you actually cared about her, maybe she would still be here with us! 
Gladion: ..........
Ash: BUT WHAT YOU DID WAS RUN AWAY WITH THAT FAILED SCIENCE EXPERIMENT OF YOURS. 
Gladion: *puts his head down
Ash: NOW BEGONE
Gladion feels himself unable to move. He had blamed himself for his sister's death but coming from Ash like that, it stung a lot more.
Ash calms down
Ash: In reality however, it's all my fault

Serena had been listening to the whole situation with horror
Serena: (I had no idea that he went through all that. Whoever she is, she meant a lot to Ash, and now she is-)
Serena sees Ash go away to route 14
Serena secretly follows Ash; this time not being spotted by him considering how depressed Ash felt right then

Serena follows Ash all the way to Route 14 when Ash suddenly

Ash spots a few people in a red uniform moving along
Ash: So those goons are at it again. 
Ash follows them
Serena sees Ash move off the route
Serena: (Now where is he going)
Serena continues following Ash. Route 14 is very icky and muddy but those didn't bother her at the moment.

Ash corners the grunts at a dead end. It was surrounded by brick walls on 3 sides, reaching very high
Ash: Now where do you think you're going you scoundrels
Grunt: That kid
Grunt 2: You won't get away this time
Ash: This time I'll make sure you guys won't get away. I have beaten more Team Flare grunts before alone. Not even an admin this time. This will be a peace of cake
Aliana: Are you sure?

Ash looks up in horror as he sees more Team Flare grunts come up from the wall surrounding him on 3 sides.
Aliana: You probably would've beaten us. But now that we have the high ground and surround you from 3 sides, you're finished
Ash: We'll see about that. 
Ash sends out his Charizard, Sceptile, Greninja and Infernape
The Flare grunts send out their numerous pokemon

Serena sees all this
Serena: (Is he insane? Did he just follow Team Flare like that. I have to do something)
Ash: Flamethrower, Leaf Storm and Hydro Pump
Ash Pokemon attack
The Team Flare grunts counter-attack with various moves
Ash: This is not good
Aliana: Drapion use Cross Poison
Cross Poison hits Sceptile and it faints
Celosia: Manectric use Discharge
Thunderbolt hits both Charizard and Greninja weakening them
Aliana: Now for the finishing touch, use Gunk Shot

Serena: Delphox use Flamethrower
Flamethrower matches out Gunk Shot
Ash: Huh! You-
Serena: Quick return your pokemon (she says to Ash)
Ash: Are you crazy!
Serena: Just do it!
Ash returns his pokemon
Serena: Delphox return and Mewostic come on out and use Teleport
Serena grabs Ash's hand before Meowstic uses Teleport
Within an instant, Ash, Serena and her Meowstic disappear from sight
Aliana: GRRR! THEY GOT AWAY!
