Pokemon: Nothing to lose, Everything to gain

Episode 17

The Core Enforcer keeps on going towards Ash who braces for impact.

Suddenly, a few attacks come and intercept the Core enforcer while 3 figures stand in front of ash

Ash: Sceptile, Charizard and Greninja
His 3 pokemon nod at him.
Ash stands up

Ash: It's time for this to end. LYSANDRE! This ends here
Lysandre: You really think you can beat me. You are so pathetic you could not even save that girl you ove so much

Ash felt himself twitching in anger about to shout back in anger when suddenly

In Ash's mind
Serena: Don't worry, I will always be here with you
Ash: Serena....
Serena: Ash, i know you can beat him. Go for it!
Ash: I will Serena

Ash calms down
Ash: Sceptile use Leaf Storm, Greninja use Ice Beam, Charizard use Dragon Pulse

The 3 attacks hit doing decent damage to Zygarde
Lysandre: Use Thousand Arrow
Charizard counter with Fire Blast
Charizard uses another move instead of Fire Blast. A move more powerful capable of repelling Thousand Arrows.
Ash: That's Blast Burn. Now Sceptile and Greninja, cover for Charizard. Use Water Shuriken and Leaf Blade
Greninja and Sceptile hit Zygarde but
Lysandre: Use Dragon Pulse
Dragon Pulse hits sceptile
Ash: Sceptile are you alright
Sceptile nods
Ash: Dragon Pulse both of you
Lysandre: Dragon Pulse
Ash: Ice Beam from the other side
*Ice Beam hits Zygarde
Ash: Now, diverge all 3 of you

The 3 pokemon move out on 3 sides
Ash: Now, Charizard use Outrage, Sceptile use Leaf Blade and Greninja use Water Shuriken
The 3 attacks hit, making Zygarde stumble
Lysandre: Focus on 1 of them only, use Extreme Speed on Greninja
Zygarde  suddenly moves very fast striking the unsuspecting water type very hard, fainting it in the process
Ash: Greninja, return
Ash: (Now, what do I do?)

In his mind
Serena: I want you to be the old Ash again

Ash: That's right. The old me would constantly think of unpredictable styles of battling. Now, what do I do?
Ash looks around the roof and thinks of a  strategy
Ash: It's risky but we have to try. Charizard, are you up for it
Charizard nods
Ash: Outrage on Zygarde
Lysandre: Extreme Speed

The 2 pokemon clash at eachother. Even though Zygarde's power is far superior to Charizard's, Charizard's determination allowed him to not move an inch
Ash: Sceptile use Frenzy Plant to surprise trap Zygarde
Suddenly, vines similar to Zygarde's own come out of the floor and the trap the order pokemon. But Charizard, by now, was at its limit. Charizard fell too the ground, fainted, after taking the full blow of Zygarde's attacks.

Ash: Return, Charizard. Your efforts will not be forgotten and neither will they be in vain. Thank you, my friend. Now, Sceptile. It's been a long time since we have done this but I know we can do it

Ash takes out his Z-Ring from his pocket and the Grassium Z.

Ash: This is for everyone who have helped me through my journey. 
My pokemon.......
Lillie.......
Pikachu........

Ash lets out a sigh

Ash: Serena.......

This is for everything they have done for me. The tyranny of team Flare has plagued this world for too long and it ends TODAY. Sceptile use BLOOM DOOM.

Sceptile launches a devastating barrage of petals straight at the Order pokemon, overflowing it with so much power. However, this power did not come from Sceptile alone. The power was fueled by determination from Ash. Determination he received for avenging all his loved ones. And it seemed that....it finally will happen...after all this time.

Sceptile's Bloom Doom sent the weakened Zygarde down to its very core weakening it severely so that it feel down and broke its control from Lysandre

Lysandre, however, went into a state.
Lysandre: This is not over, you hear me. YOU WILL NOT STOP THE CREATION OF MY PERFECT WORLD. 
Ash: Give it up, Lysandre. Even if you defeat me here, there is no way you can form your own world. Trainers are storming the tower as we speak.
All of this was said while breathing heavily. After storming down the tower and fighting Zygarde, he had lost all of his energy. Same could be said for Sceptile, who felt like he would not be abl to be a Wooper.

Lysandre: Even if I go down. I can take you with me. Time to make you and your pathetic pokemon join that girl. Gyarados, come on out

Ash: Sceptile...c-can you go on
Sceptile breathes havily but still takes battle stance
Lysandre: Gyarados use Aqua T-

Zygarde stands back up
Ash and Lysandre: Zygarde?

Zygarde readies up a Core Enforcer but instead of Ash, this time the trajectory was Lysandre

Lysandre: What's this? Gyarados use Hyper Beam to deflect it
Ash: Oh no you don't. Sceptile use Frenzy Plant to keep Gyarados invested
Sceptile stops Gyarados from confronting Zygarde, who launches the Core Enforcer straight at Lysandre. Seconds after the impact...Lysandre's body turns into stone.

Ash takes Gyarados' pokeball and returns it
Ash: People like him don't deserve to use such a great pokemon like you

Zygarde: I have to apologise to you, human. I am sorry for what I have done
Ash: Zygarde? 
Zygarde: Yes, it is me
Ash: Why are you sorry?
Zygarde: Because of me, an innocent human has died

That was a sharp reminder to Ash about the death to Serena. Ash looked down, feeling immeasurable pain flow through his body. The person who cared about so much....was gone.
However, the promise he made to Serena came into mind. He is not going to dwell on this loss

Ash: I forgive you Zygarde
Zygarde: Thank you, human. Not only for rescuing me, but also for selflessly risking your life in order to save the world. I am indebted to you. 
Ash: Please, call me Ash
Zygarde: Well, in that case, farewell Ash

Zygarde zips away from Prism Tower, leaving a trail of green light behind it.
Ash collapsed with fatigue and so did Sceptile.

Ash: We did it!

Gary: Ashy-boy
Ash: Gary?
Shauna: You saved the world. You're a hero
Ash: I am not the real hero
Ash indicates to the once honey-blonde now stone-cold Serena
Shauna: Oh my, how d-
Ash looks down 
Gary: Ash.........I'm sorry

After a lot of effort, Ash finds his voice
Ash: It's fine. I am the one who is sorry
Tierno: Why?
Ash: Because she died....trying to protect me...trying to save my life
Gary:........................
Ash: But, I made a promise to her that i won't dwell on her loss. Well, she has not broken any of her promises and neither will I break mine
Everyone: Ash.......
Ash: Now, let's go back 
Everyone: Right
