The sun's heated rays whiffed my face, causing me to stir and open my eyes to meet the ceiling. I clutched my head was throbbing, so I just sat straight on the bed and look around to spot Angie combing her hair by the dressing.

"Woah, sleepyhead is up early," She quirks an eyebrow continuing to style her hair

"Woah, sleepyhead is up early," She quirks an eyebrow continuing to style her hair.

I yawned before climbing out of the duvet and going towards her.

"Barely slept" I sighed, recalling last night's events that kept emerging in my dreams.

"Where is your smile, Beth?" She frowned her eyes at me.

"Should I be smiling every second, huh?" I dodged her question.

I have already decided not to confide in her neither with my stupid nightmares nor about Ethan.

"Beth, are you seriously kidding me?" She stood up, meet my eyes and dared me to lie to her.

Eventually, I did and said, "I'm fine, duh"

Lying to her is like lying to myself because she's my soul friend who understands me too well.

"Angie, I am fine stop being my mom" I politely defied her before dashing inside the bathroom.

I seriously didn't want to hurt her but worrying her is not right either.

"Let's leave then"

She said patting my back, showing no sign of anger.

We both left reached the campus grounds and paraded on the hallway's glassy floor.

"Beth, I'll meet Ethos as he has called me for some issues and you can organize your locker in the meantime," She advised and I just nodded.

"Duh, lockers" I slumped my shoulders back while approaching my locker.

Opening it, something falls down my feet and it was a bouquet of red roses that surprised me.

"Who gave me this?" I frowned before picking it up and plucking out a note on it.

Accept my apology as I never wanted to hurt you, neither trick you nor lead you on, Bethany...
                        - Ethan

That note slipped out of my grip as I recalled my eventful date night with him where he treated me like a ragdoll and now expecting me to forgive him, like seriously?
