I never thought I will be the one to protect Bethany from my evil sister, she is a human, that girl who is my target but every time I am the one to save her.

Fate always has played cruel games with me and this time it's taking Bethany into my destructive life which I despise.

Gripping her tightly, I sigh over her head and tried to ease her tension. She was shivering poorly against me.

"You're safe, Bethany. Look up.." I commanded and she obliged quickly raising her head at me.

Her beautiful eyes met mine and surprisingly there was no fear, no disgust nothing in them. She has zero of those emotions from last night. It was like she has accepted me the way I am.

She is stupid for doing so.

My red glimmering eyes veered normal as I brush my hand against her cheek trying to send my warmth to her even though I am cold, undead and not human.

"Bethany, I am here okay" I tried to make her believe that I am here her.

Just her.

"Go away, Elizabeth" I ordered her at observing her getting up off the floor.

Elizabeth was oblivious for a couple of twinklings because of a spell I did while shoving her but now she is in her senses. Her red eyes shine dangerously as she looks in between Bethany and me.

She scoffed, "You tricked me for her?"

Elizabeth pointed at Bethany disgusted and then I notice the same pain in her eyes which I caused her in the past. She is like this today because of me but I did what I thought was right for her.

"Eliza.."

"You can't change, Little brother neither I have. I've sworn to kill you and I'll" She announced menacingly while cracking her fingers.

"And you know I intend to keep my vows"

Before I could say anything, she vanished in thin air leaving us behind. My heartfelt heavy and light at the same time partially knowing what I am doing is wrong and Elizabeth has every single right to hate me.

"You go, Ethan" Blake's weak voice requested me to take Bethany away and I nodded to him respectfully for the first time.

"Your sister is safe back in the palace, Blake"

He sighs in relief as I cradled Bethany's body into my arms suspecting her sleeping and I was right. She has no energy left in her besides facing Elizabeth is no easy task. I find her rather brave to stand against my sister.

I took Bethany back to her dorm and lies her down on the bed, seeing her asleep. I chose not to leave her sight until she wakes up.

"Bethany?" I jerked her wanting to feed her some food.
