「 3rd person's pov 」

"taehyung! we miss you so much."
mrs. kim said to the phone. the 13 year old taehyung smiled softly, seeing his parents' faces on the phone.
"mom! dad! i can't wait to see you both. it's been 5 months.. taehyungie can't wait to hug you both!"
he said and lets out a giggle, making his parents coo at their adorable one and only child.
"don't worry. tomorrow, you'll get to see us. we bought many gifts for you! here, look."
his mother said and reached for something. after a while, she raised a medium sized tiger plushie for taehyung to see. the little taehyung lets out a gasp as he saw the tiger.
"a-a tiger? woah! thank you mommy! i-i will name him taetae.."
taehyung nodded at the name 'taetae'. he was already so excited to see the plushie.
"that's so cute taehyung. anyways, we have to sleep now since it's already late. we'll see you tomorrow our baby."
his father said, making the boy immediately nod and head to his bed. he was alone in the house. he's only a kid but he can already take care of himself and his parents are proud of him because of it.
they need to visit other cities because of their work and leave the boy alone in their house. they can't ask for their relatives to accompany taehyung since they don't want to bother them. especially mrs kim's sister, she really hate them especially taehyung.
but of course, they always do facetime with taehyung so he will at least feel less lonely and sad without his parents.
"goodnight, mom, dad. i'll be waiting for you both."

"do you think we should just take taehyung with us every business trip? i don't want him to feel lonely anymore without us."
mrs. kim asked his husband whose currently driving towards seoul where their house is located.
"i think so. but he'll be tired all the time. his body can't take i-"
"what are you saying? our taehyungie is a strong boy. remember he always keeps saying 'i'm a big boy now! i'll be strong for mom and dad!', something like that."
mr. and mrs. kim both chuckled at their son's behavior. its true, taehyung wants to be strong for his parents so he won't worry them.
"right. i almost forgot it."
mr. kim hummed while driving.
they talked some things about how they met, their son and many more until they didn't noticed a truck coming on their way.
"honey! there's a truck!"
mrs. kim shouted in horror, causing mr. kim's eyes to widen.
