Chapter 4

I woke up around five to Noel on my chest and licking my face. "What, do you want out?" I asked. She put her head on my neck and fell asleep, "Oh, I see. Wake me up so you can go to sleep." I moved her sleeping body off me and turned on my side. I was up probably of another minute and then I was out.

The next morning I must have woken up and moved because I was on the couch with my grandmother's quilt and a pillow. Noel was on my bed when I walked in there, she must hogged it so I moved to the couch. "Really?" I said and she rolled in her sleep. I laughed and rolled my eyes. I stepped in the shower and let the warm water cascade over my face.
After my shower I picked out a pair of jean shorts, a Batman shirt, some Convers, and a my Pikachu beanie. It was a nice summer day and a grate day for a walk in the park. "Noel, let's go." I called as I fixed my hair a bit. She bounced down the hall and sat down in front of me. "I guess you are ready." I laughed and latched her harness on her an walked out of the room.

I arrived at the park around noon so Noel and I walked around for a little bit. After five minuets Ashton walked up with a basket and blanket. "What's that?" I pointed to the basket. "Oh this? Just thought we could have a picnic here."

"Oh."

"Is that ok?"

"Sure I am starving." he sat down the blanket and the basket. He took out peanut butter and Nutella sandwiches, bananas, and chocolate cover strawberries. "Yum." I said said and took a sandwich.

"Yeh, it was Luke's idea for the bananas."

"Oh, good chose then."

"Yeh, and who this?" Noel walked up and sniffed his hand.

"Noel, she is my dog."

"Oh, hello. What kind of dog is she again?"

"Shiba Inu."

"Oh that's right, she is pretty."

"Yeh she is." I scratched her behind her ear and she laid down and fell asleep. Ashton laughed and I couldn't help bit think I was blushing.

We ate the bananas, finished the sandwiches, and nibbled the strawberries. "Do you want to walk around?" Ashton asked picking up our scraps.

"Sure." He offered me his hand and I took it, and untied Noel's leash from the table. "So, how long are you here?" I asked and regretted it.

"Well, we are recording our new album and then we are performing on The Today Show tomorrow. So about another week or so."

"Oh."

"Stop that."

"Sorry."

"Hey."

"Sorry, it's a habit."

"Why?"

"I didn't talk to many people when I was little."

"Oh."

"Yeh."

"Well tell me about your self."

"What do you want me talk about? You know my favorite color, food, music and that my family were drunks."

"I don't know, hobbies?"

"Reading, typing stories, playing guitar, and singing."

"Oh, well can you sing for me?"

"Why?"

"I don't know. Please?"

"Fine, what do you want me to sing?" I said sarcastically. He thought for a little and said, "You pick."

"Ok, do you know Garth Brooks?"

"Maybe."

"Do you know Standing out side the fire?

"No" He said and I laughed. I started to sing the first verse and his eyes widened. Soon people were gathering around me and him.

"Oh, my god is that the girl from Starbucks?"

"It can't be, she is to quiet." Voices were whispering around me. Ashton was trying to get people to go away. "Please go." I stopped singing and started to walk away. "Hey, wait up!" Ashton called and jogged up and stopped me. "That was amazing, I am so sorry about the crowd."

"No it's fine, I felt like I was excepted for once."

"Why?"

"At work, I am not allowed to preform on the stage."

"Oh, well I liked it."

"Thanks." I tucked a piece of my hair behind my ear and smiled. "Um, but not as good as you." I said and sat down on the swing. He sat down next to me, "Hey, are you ok?"

"Yeh."

"Hey."

"Oops, I am good."

"You don't seem like it," he stood up,"Come on." he took my hand and walked me and Noel over to the pine trees.

"Were are we going?"

"Out of the crowd."

"Why?"

"I don't know."

We walked over and he pulled me into a hug and smoothed my hair, "Now are you going to tell me what is up." I shook my head no and tried to pull away. He took his hand and cupped my cheek and smiled. I closed my eyes and let his hands guide me. "Hey, there you are!"
