WANG LEI and he met back in their high school days. Wang Lei was a transfer student to their school and he becomes friends with Xueyang who's his best friend at that time.

Basically, he gets to know him by Xueyang. At first, he was a little distant from him. Maybe because of his intimidating aura. Since Xueyang is a beta, they got close easily.

He's also an aloof and cold type of person. Xueyang was just a persistent one that's why they got close.

As time passed by, Wang Lei starts to open up himself. They start to get to know each other until they become inseparable from each other. He actually lives alone. His parents died at a young age and he start to live alone.

He was glad to meet Wang Lei at that time. And that's also the time where they met Xingchen and the others.

One year of friendship. For Wang Lei, they are basically best friends but to him, he falls for him. Hard.

He hid his feelings for Wang Lei for years but he got the chance to be with Wang Lei when Wang Lei himself confessed that he likes him.

That time, he's the happiest.

Everything was perfect. They may not have a perfect relationship, but for them, they are perfect for each other. They are happy. They passed all the problems and struggles together. Together. They love each other to the point of thinking about getting married when the right time comes.

Typical happy and contented couple but tragic comes that ends everything.

FLASHBACK ...

"Lei! Lei!" He shouted while removing his shoes in front of the front door of his apartment.

"Hmm?" He heard the small response of Lei.

"I'm home!" He excitedly shouted

Yibo picked up his gift for his boyfriend since it's their 5th year anniversary. He runs inside the apartment and looked for his love but he was nowhere to be found.

"Lei? Where are you?" He shouted

Lei shouts back, "Just a second, babe!"

Yibo grinned and just placed his gift above Lei's bed. He walked inside the kitchen and ready some food for them. He even lights the candle of their cake to surprise his boyfriend.

He happily picked up the cake and slowly walks towards his room. When he opened the room, he expected Lei's smiling face but to his surprise, he saw Lei crawling out to the bathroom clutching his tummy.

Yibo dropped the cake on the floor, "Wang Lei!" He shouted out of concern. He runs towards him and cupped his face, "Hey, babe! Are you okay? Fuck! What happened?" He asked nervously

He helps Wang Lei to get up and helps him walk to reach the bed.

Wang Lei looked so damn pale. He's sweating bullets that run down to his neck. His hair and t-shirt are a mess.

Yibo's heart starts to beat fast than usual. It starts to ache to see his loved one in pain.

"Babe? Can you hear me?" He asked using his shaking voice.

Lei give him a small smile that really breaks his heart. That's not the smile he is expecting to see. "I-I'm okay," he whispered but it bothers him whenei coughed blood.
