Everything Is Back To Normal(Pt. 2)...

A/N: Remember this story and the last story are the same one shot. Here is part 2!
Charlotte's POV-
It's finally the summer of our junior year and Henry has been gone for a month already. I really miss him but I know he'll be back the 2 week of school this year. Then he said he's not going anywhere for senior year. Thank goodness. Penelope and our teacher are engaged now. That's sick. She's 18 and he's like old. I try not to think about it. Right now I'm climbing a apple tree for well you know..apples. I know I could just go to the grocery store to buy some but Jasper doesn't like store bought apples and he is still staying with us. Just till Henry gets back. His mom and dad are staying in a hotel so they're fine with him staying with us for a while. After I gather all my apples I head back to the house to wash them.
Henry's POV-
I've been on this ship for a month and I'm a little homesick but this has to be done for my mom and sister. We're really struggling right now because of dad dying but we'll get through it. I luckily found a good friend on this ship. His name is Blake. He's a little older than me. He said he was 33 but he doesn't look 33. Oh no. We have another Ray on our hands.
Henry: So you're here to stay on the ship?
Blake: No. I'll go back eventually but for now the ocean is my home.
I really miss my friends. I miss Charlotte. I wonder what she's doing right now. Apparently I looked like I was in a daze because Blake said...
Blake: You okay? Whatcha thinking about?
Henry: There's this girl back in Swell-view. Charlotte. Short curly hair. Fiery temper. She's been my best friend since kindergarten. I wonder when I'll see her again.
Blake: We'll you could leave right now.
Henry: No. Not yet. I need to go where ever life takes me. Even though I miss her.
Charlotte's POV-
I walk inside and out the basket of apples on the counter.
Charlotte: Good morning, Alex.
Alex: Good morning, Charlotte.
I start heading to my room when I see that the borders door to their room is open. Me being the curious person I am; I head inside.
Charlotte: Hey, Jackson. Whatcha up to?
Jackson: Nothing really. Just reading.
Charlotte: Ugh. I love reading. It's so fun.
Jackson: Whatever you say Charlotte. Look I'm really not supposed to tell you this yet but me and Alex came to swell view because he heard on TV that there is gold in this area.
Charlotte: Really?
Jackson: Yes but you can't tell anyone. We're still trying to find it. Here take this book. Read about it but remember don't tell anyone.
Charlotte: I promise.
I walk out of their room with my new book in my hand and go to my room. Wait a minute. Gold can help Henry and his family. Since the ship has no cell reception I have to write to him. Dear Henry, Swell-view has gold. I'm hoping you can come back because this could help your family. Please come home. Love your best friend, Charlotte Page. There done. Time to send it to him. What's the harm in telling one person. Right?
The Next Day...
We are all at city hall because of the annual swell view meeting. All of the sudden Alex and Jackson start talking.
Jackson: Can I have your attention?! Yes I know the town is losing money but I can help.
Mayor: You can help? You're just a tourist.
Jackson: Yes but I came to swell view for a reason. Me and my friend Alex found out there is gold here. We can dig it up and the town can be rich again.
Jasper's POV-
Why do these guys look so familiar and it's not because I'm living with them for the time being. I feel like I know them from some place else.
Charlotte's POV-
Jackson: So?
Mayor: I guess it's up to a vote.
The all start whispering.
Mayor: We all agree. You can dig up the gold for us and as a reward. We'll give you 7% of you guys find. Deal?
Jackson looks at Alex.
Jackson: Deal.
Yay. Oh my goodness. Henry can come home.
Later that Night...
I was talking about the book Jackson gave me. He was telling me what he found.
Jackson: Come look Charlotte.
I walk over to the microscope and look inside. All I see is dirt.
Jackson: Isn't it beautiful?
Charlotte: I don't see anything.
Jackson: Well maybe it's because you're just a kid. Gold is so small in dirt you can't really see that well. You have to have a good eye. Only adults can see it.
Charlotte: Wait! Can I look one more time?
I look and still can see anything. I don't want him to think of me as a kid so...
Charlotte: I see it.
Jackson: Good. That's good.
Charlotte: Its pretty.
Jackson: Isn't it? Well thanks for being the book back.
Charlotte: Thanks for lending it to me. Goodnight.
Jackson: Goodnight.
I walk out of their room and head to bed.
The Next Morning...
Henry's POV-
Me and Blake finally land in England. I can't believe I'm almost heading home. Me and Blake deliver everyone's mail from America when we hear screaming. We run to her.
Henry: Ma'am? Ma'am? Are you okay?
Blake: Hart? What's happening?
Henry: She's pregnant. Her water broke. She's took far along for her to get to the hospital. What do we do?
Blake: You're going to have to do it.
Henry: Me?!
Blake: Come on Hart. You got this.
Henry: Okay. Let's do this.
Me and Blake bring her to a area where no one was. Okay Henry you can do this.
Much Pushing Later...
I can't believe I did that. It was so thrilling. I literally gave life to a baby boy. Me and Blake head back onto the boat to head back to America.
Jasper's POV-
I walked in to my temporary house when I bumped into Jackson. Since he's basically all muscle I fall to the ground and look up at him.
Flashback...
Jackson: Give me your money wimp! Hurry up!
End of flashback|
Oh my god! It was him! It was him! He stole Charlotte's money. He helped me up and apologized and I tried to act natural so he wouldn't figure out I know.
Jasper: No it was my fault for not looking.
He walked away. I can't believe I've been living with the guy that beat me up and stole Char's money. I have to tell her!
Charlotte's POV-
I was out with my girl friend Rachel feeding Micheal and Mary's, aka my parents now, chickens. We heard a running foot steps getting louder then heard a familiar voice.
Jasper: CHARLOTTE!
He ran up to us out of breath.
Charlotte: Woah Jasper breath. What's wrong?
Jasper: It's him. Jackson. He's the one who took your money.
Charlotte: What?
Rachel: Wait, how would you know this?
Jasper: Because, Rachel, I was there!
Rachel: Woah, that's mean.
Jasper: I'm sorry I'm just really upset.
Charlotte: Jasper? Are you sure?
Jasper: 100%
Rachel: Woah that's a lot of percent.
I looked at Rachel with a weird look.
Rachel: What?
I looked back at Jasper.
Charlotte: I went through his room before I found a guy with his phone number maybe that's his boss. I can track him with my phone. You wanna come Jasper? We can find out why he took it.
Jasper: No thank you. I don't wanna get involved more that I already am.
Charlotte: Suit yourself. Come on Rachel.
At a bar in swell view...
We walked into a bar with everyone looking at us weirdly. Maybe because we're under age. I don't know. Then I see him.
Charlotte: Rachel? That's him.
Rachel: Let's go.
Charlotte: Shouldn't we come up with a plan or-
Rachel interrupted me.
Rachel: Hey! You!
Charlotte: Guess not.
I catch up with her.
Mark: What?
Rachel: We wanna talk to you.
Mark: No, thank you.
We sit in the booth with him as he rolls his eyes.
Charlotte: What's your name?
Mark: Mark...Mark Dunn. Why?
Rachel: Cause your partners stole our friends money and we wanna teach you a lesson.
Mark: Okay go ahead and try. Wait. Who?
Charlotte: Jackson and Alex.
Mark: I stopped partnering with them years ago.
Rachel: Really?
Mark: Really.
Charlotte: Then what are they doing in swell-view? They told they town they're looking for gold. He showed me a little bit.
Mark: He did?
Charlotte: Kind of. I couldn't see it. He said that it's so small that you can't.
Mark: Uh, if it was gold you would be able to see it.
Charlotte: What? But he said that the dirt was glistening with the gold in it. That the gold was so small.
Mark: Or maybe there wasn't any.
Charlotte: You're lying.
Mark: Kid I'm a gold expert. I'm pretty sure I know what I'm talking about.
He said the next part slow like me and Rachel are stupid.
Mark: If   there  was  gold  you  be  able  to  see   it.
Rachel: Oh my god. Char? There con artists.
Mark: No, duh.
Rachel: Charlotte? Jasper and your parent are back with them.
Charlotte: Hurry. Let's go. Thank you!
I then started to run out of the bar.
Mark: Yeah, whatever.
Mary's POV-
I was doing the laundry in the hallway with the closet that has the washer and dryer in it. I then see Jackson walk out of Charlotte's room. What the hell? What was he doing in there. That creepy as hell. I stop doing laundry and go over to my husband Micheal. I whisper so they don't hear me.
Mary: Micheal?
Micheal: Yes?
Mary: Jackson was in Char's room without her here.
Micheal: Woah. Woah Woah. No boy or man goes in my daughters room except me, Jasper and Henry. I know things.
Mary: Yeah and I'm pretty sure I know something weird is going on.
Charlotte's POV-
Me and Rachel run back to my house and barge right in.
Charlotte: Mary!
I then stop and see Alex in the kitchen baking a cake.
Alex: Hey Charlotte!
I stare at him for a second scared. Oh-
Charlotte: Hey...Alex.
He looks at me confused.
Alex: I baked you a cake for letting us stay in your home.
He pushes the cake towards me on the counter. I hesitate but then slide the cake closer to me.
Charlotte: Thank...you.
I smile awkwardly and he looks at me confused again.
Charlotte: We'll me and Rachel are looking for Mary. So..
Alex: Yeah, okay.
Charlotte: Come on, Rachel.
Me and Rachel walk fast away from him.
Alex's POV-
I walk into our guest room and get straight to the point.
Alex: They know.
Jackson: What? Are you kidding?
Alex: No.
Jackson: Well, how do you know?
Alex: I baked Charlotte a cake and she looked at me like a committed a murder.
Jackson: Well you did remember Brandon you-
Alex: I know what happened. Let's go. Take the money we stole from the town.
He grabs the money and our luggage and we head for the next town.
Jackson: Let's get outta here.
Charlotte's POV-
I walk up to Micheal and Mary and shut the door behind me.
Charlotte: Mary! Jackson and Alex are hear to steal the towns money. There is no gold.
Mary: How did you find that out?
Rachel: Me and Charlotte went to they're boss and he said there wasn't any gold here.
Charlotte: Wait you guys believe us? Just like that.
Mary: Well I saw Jackson in your room and I thought it was kinda creepy so I could see it.
Charlotte: Okay then we have to hurry they are already trying to run away.
Micheal: Ok then let's go.
Charlotte: I can call Captain Man to help.
Mary: Yes. Do it.
I call ray and tell him everything. The whole town then gets involved and try to look for them. Ray luckily gets them and puts them in jail and everyone get there money back but everyone is still disappointed there isn't gold.
Henry's POV-
Me and Blake walk to the post office to get our mail and I find a letter from swell view. I open it and start to read it in my head.
Blake: Who is that from?
I don't answer and read the final line of the letter.
Henry: There's gold in swell-view?
One Day Later...
Me and Blake are at a outside bar drinking a beer and obviously soda for me. Talking and bonding. Honestly Blake is pretty cool.
Henry: Wow, living on the ocean for a summer. Hanging out with a cool dude. Traveling to different places. What could be better?
Blake: Gold.
I chuckle and take another drink of my "alcohol".
Henry: I wouldn't say that girl is the most reliable narrator.
I smile wide and look down. Blake chuckles.
Blake: You're crazy. If I had a beautiful girl back home gold or no I would be out of here.
I look at him.
Henry: It's not like that with Charlotte. I've known her since we were kids. She's just a friend.
Blake: Yeah a friend that makes you smile and act like a fool.
Henry: No I'm serious. I'm dating someone else. Her name is Savannah. She's cool.
Blake: Cool? Having a girlfriend doesn't make you unable to like other girls. Come on dude. Be a man.
Henry: Fine. I'll write her a letter telling her I'm coming home because of the gold. Happy?
Blake: A little.
Henry: Hey. Wait why don't you come with me. You can live with my family. We have and extra bedroom.
Blake: Are you serious?
Henry: Yeah. You can work at junk n stuff with Jasper.
Blake: Your weird friend who just got over his bucket obsession?
Henry: That's the one.
Blake: That would be amazing dude. Thank you.
Henry: Hey. Your my brother.
Blake: Thanks man. Your mine.
1 hour later...
We walk out of the post office after I turn in my letter to be mailed.
Blake: So how long will it be till she gets your love letter.
Henry: It's not a love letter. A couple weeks maybe. She'll get it right before we get home.
Blake: Home? What an amazing word.
I smile and we put our arms around each other shoulders and walk toward the boat that will take us home.
Two weeks later...
Charlotte's POV-
I got outside and get the mail and read that it's from Europe. That must be from Henry. I run inside and open the letter and read that he thinks there is still gold here. Oh no. He's going to be so mad at me.
3 days later...
It was the first day back to school of our junior year and Jasper and me walk in to class together and see a crowd. We walk through a lot of people to see a fimilar face in front of us. I stop wide eyed.
Jasper: Hen!
Jasper goes up and hugs him tightly.
Henry: Sup buddy. Hey char. Aren't you going to give me a hug?
Charlotte: There's no gold.
Henry: Oh. I know. I-I heard.
I then walk up and hug him.
Henry: Told you I'll be back the first day of junior year.
We all smile and we take a seat in our assigned seats as Mr. Phillips walks in and starts to teach the class again. Me and Rosie start to whisper to each other.
Rosie: Hey, Char. Did you hear?
Charlotte: Hear what?
Rosie: Over the summer Mr. Phillips asks Penelope to marry him and her parents agree with it.
Charlotte: Are you serious? She's a senior. She's like 18. That's way to young.
Rosie: She's still going through with it. Mitch, Bysh, Jeff and Jayden confirmed it.
Those are Penelope's siblings.
Charlotte: That's insane.
Henry's POV-
I walk up to Mr. Phillips desk to ask him a important question.
Mr. Phillips: Yes, Mr. Hart?
Henry: I was wondering if you could help me graduate early because this summer while on travel I helped a woman give birth and I realized I wanted to be a doctor. It will only take a little bit of your time, sir.
Mr. Phillips: Is that all? My time? Should your father give away the money he makes because he people want it feels they deserve it? He should not. Have a seat Mr. Hart.
Henry: My father's dead, sir.
The room fell silent and everyone looked up at us.
Mr. Phillips: Yes, well. The analogy still stands. Have a seat Mr. Hart.
I walk over to my desk and start to work on the questions that prick gave us.
Later that day...
Me and Blake are walking down to get him a job at junk in stuff but on the way we bump into a girl.
Blake: Sorry.
Alexandra: It's fine.
Blake: What's your name?
Alexandra: Alexandra. What's yours?
Blake: Blake and this is my friend Henry.
Henry: Nice to meet you.
20 minutes later...
Blake is still talking to Alexandra and then we finally get to junk n stuff.
Henry: We would have been here sooner if you would have stopped flirting with that girl you met.
Blake: What's the big deal. You flirt with that girl you love.
Henry: I don't love Charlotte.
Charlotte walks out of the back room and sees us.
Charlotte: Hey Henry. Oh this must be Blake.
Blake: Yes, i am.
Charlotte: I'm Charlotte.
Blake: Nice to meet you Charlotte. I heard so much about you.
He looked at me and I rolled my eyes.
Next day in class...
I was sitting reading the text book when Mr. Phillips asked the class a question.
Mr. Phillips: Okay. What is Tay-Sachs disease?Anyone? How about the good doctor?
He gestured to me and I put my book down and look straight at him.
Henry: A rare disorder passed from the parent to a child. It's caused by the absence of enzymes that help break down fat. I managed to learn that without any extra time from you.
Everyone widened their eyes waiting for what was going to happen. But as was I they were disappointed.
Mr. Phillips: Yes. Well. That's correct.
The next day...
We were all at the wedding of our teacher and Penelope. I obviously think she's too young but she's my classmate and I'll support her. She walked down the isle and looked at her soon to be husband with regret.
Charlotte's POV-
Penelope looked around the church and then ran out the door. Me and the girls followed her and she fell down in the snow and we all walked up to her and then she turned around and threw a snowball at us. We all laughed and proceeded to play in the snow enjoying our teen years. Teens shouldn't be thinking about marriage. We should be thinking about college and out future jobs. This is the day we all realized that.
2 days later...
I was Monday after the almost wedding and our teacher left town from embarrassment. We have a new teacher names Ms. Collins and she is the nicest person I've ever met. The whole class absolutely loves her.
Blake's POV-
Me and Alex are walking down road away from Junk N' Stuff just talking.
Blake: So, you don't have a boyfriend?
She laughed.
Alexandra: No.
Blake: Does that mean you can marry me?
Alexandra: Marry you? Are you serious? We've only known each other for 3 days.
Blake: So?
After minutes of talking about it I finally convinced her. Henry thinks I'm crazy but I'm still going through with it.
Charlotte's POV-
Mary: Charlotte? We have something to tell you. Jasper's mom passed away yesterday.
Charlotte: Are you serious?
Micheal: Yes and we were hoping if you would be okay with-
Charlotte: Of course he can live here.
Mary: No honey. We're going to adopt him.
Charlotte: Are you serious? He's going to be my brother?
Micheal: Yes.
Mary: Are you okay with that?
Charlotte: Duh!
I went up and hugged them both.
Charlotte: I love you mom. I love you dad.
I run upstairs.
Mary's POV-
Mary: Did you here that? She called me mom!
Micheal: We're in!
I laughed.
1 Week Later...
Henry's POV-
Minister: Do you? Blake Dunn take this woman...
I was sitting in the wedding hall when I see Charlotte walk out. I start to follow her. She stops right outside the wedding hall.
Henry: You okay?
She looks at me.
Charlotte: Yeah. Of course. I just can't believe we're almost done here. You should know that I'm going to Queens like Mary and I'm never coming back.
Henry: Graduation is a year away. You got any plans till then?
I smiled and nodded my head.
Charlotte: So your not going to graduate early?
Henry: Nope. I'm staying here with you and your brother.
Charlotte: God. Stop. I can't get used to it.
We laughed. She stopped and stared at Ms. Collins in the wedding hall.
Henry: Charlotte?
Charlotte: I know what I wanna do. I want to be a teacher. Just like Ms. Collins.
Henry: There's no doubt in my mind that it will be hard for you.
She smiled at me.
Charlotte: So? The good doctor?
Henry: Someday. I hope I get there.
Charlotte: You'll get there. I know you will. So you going to hang out with your girlfriend this summer.
Henry: Duh.
Charlotte's POV-
All the sudden Jasper runs up to us.
Jasper: Guys! Come look! I found this amazing looking bucket.
Henry: I thought you got rid of that habit last year.
Jasper: I did but you have to come get see it.
Charlotte: Okay. We're coming.
Me and Henry walk with Jasper down the street to the store the bucket was in. I mean I guess everything is back to normal.
