Good Luck Henry(Pt. 1)...

⚠️Important⚠️: This One Shot has 3 parts to it. The next 3 stories will be the same stories with different titles. The 3 parts won't all be called the same thing. I will though put part 1, 2, or 3 on the title as well. Enjoy the story!
Background Information-
In this story Henry and Charlotte have know each other since they were 5. They are sophomores in high school for this part. Henry is dating a girl named Savannah and has been since a little bit after Bianca left for Kids In The Woods. He's been dating her for 2 years. Charlotte never knew her mom and dad he died when she was just a baby. She got adopted by Mary and her husband Micheal. Charlotte has a group of girlfriends as well as Henry and Jasper. Charlotte's best friend is Henry but Rachel's best girlfriend is Charlotte. Henrys Dad, Jake, is unfortunately sick with an unknown illness. Now let's get on with the story...
Charlotte's POV-
I walked to school already regretting going. Henry won't be here for the first day of sophomore year because he's still on vacation with his parents and Piper. I walked into school and saw Rachel and my friends sitting by our seats from last year. I've known my friends for a year. I met them the first day of Freshman year. I walk over and sit in my seat.
Rachel: Charlotte?! Guess what?!
Charlotte: What?
Jayden: My sister and the teacher are secretly dating.
Jaydens sister is Penelope. Penelope, Jayden, Mitch, Jeff and Bysh are all siblings. I know busy parents.
Charlotte: Since when?
Jayden: Since this summer. I saw them kissing outside of our house. They've been dating since she was a Freshman.
Penelope is now a senior.
Charlotte: Woah. They've been dating for 3 years?!
Rachel: Yeah. Crazy right.
Mr Phillips: Okay guys let's get right back into it. Open your books to page 27.
The Next Day-
I was walking to school through the woods well because my adopted parents house is kinda far away through the wood might I add. But I don't mind. I was about to get to school when Mitch popped out from behind a tree.
Mitch: Hey, dog!
That's what they call me because I'm adopted. I just got adopted last month. Yay! Sorta.
Mitch: I heard you got my sister arrested.
Obviously Bysh is his sister.
Charlotte: It was an accident. See-
Mitch: Yeah, right. You wanna know what happens when you mess with my sister? You're a bad dog. Bad dog!
My legs fell out from underneath me and I dropped my stuff.
Henry: Hey, Mitch!
I looked up. Thank god. It's Henry.
Mitch: Sup, Hart.
Henry: You guys playing a game or something?
Mitch: Yeah. Sure.
Henry: Yeah it look like fun but we don't wanna be late for class. So hurry along.
Mitch walked away and I picked up my crap. Why do I have so much?
Henry: You okay, Char?
I looked at him and walked off.
Henry: You need anything else? Any dragons around here need slaying?
Charlotte: No. Thank you!
Henry ran up to me.
Henry: Can we walk up to school together?
Charlotte: Yeah. Okay.
Henry: Cool. So what did he want?
Charlotte: He was mad because you got Bysh arrested after I talked to her.
Henry: Oh, well. My bad.
Charlotte: Yeah. It was.
Henry: Hey!
Me and Henry walked in our classroom door together and my girl friends were looking at us funny.
Charlotte: Well. Anyway thanks for having my back.
Henry: It's all good.
Me and Henry went to sit down in our seats. Henry sat next to Jasper and I sat next to Rachel across from the isle.
Henry's POV-
Jacob: Why were you walking with that orphan girl?
Henry: Why is it your business?
Billy: Cause you could give us rabies. She's a dog.
Henry: Uh, oh. I think your foaming.
Billy covers his mouth and the guys laugh.
Henry: Besides I don't care where she's from. She's my best friend I've known her since I was 5.
Jasper: And I've know them since we were 10.
Henry: Okay. Jasper. Thanks for that.
Billy: Hey. Is your dad still sick?
Henry: Let's just say he could be better. Now can we please change the subject?
A crying Rachel and her friends walk into the hallway.
Charlotte's POV-
I see my group of girl friends walk toward me and my locker.
Rosie: How dare you?!
Charlotte: Huh?
Rosie: Walking with Henry when you know Rachel has liked him for 2 years. She calls him. There there Rachel she forgot.
Charlotte: I didn't mean to walk with him it just happened.
Rosie: Well don't let it happen again.
Excuse me? They walk back into the class room and I walked right behind them and sat down in my seat.
At Lunch-
I'm sitting at a table out side our classroom eating when Henry comes up to me with an apple.
Henry: Hey. My mom packed me a big lunch today so I couldn't eat this apple. Do you want it.
I muttered the next few sentences.
Charlotte: Go away.
Henry: I'm sorry. What?
Charlotte: You need to walk away right now.
Henry: I can't hear-
I interrupted by yelling at him.
Charlotte: I'm not supposed to talk to you!
Henry: Why, not?
I take my lunch and walk back inside the class room.
Back in Class-
The class room is quiet. All we could hear was the squeaking of the teachers dry erase marker. I could see Henry looking at me out of the corner of my eye. He look at the teacher then gets up and walks toward my desk. Rachel was watching the whole thing looking scared that he was going to kiss me or something. I mean Rachel we have been best friends since we were 5 years old. Of course we were going to talk.
Henry: Hey.
I ignored him. Then Henry did the unimaginable. At least from him. He pulled my hair and muttered what Mitch did only a few hours ago.
Henry: Dog.
I got up and slapped him with my binder while yelling at him.
Charlotte: I'M NOT TALKING TO YOU!
The teacher turns around and the whole class gasps in shock. The whole class starts talking amongst themselves.
Henry: You just did.
Henry goes and sits back down at his desk. Henry is so relentless. It's so annoying.
Mr. Phillips: PAGE?! GET UP HERE NOW!
I look over at the teacher and start walking to the front of the class.
Mr. Phillips: What an outrageous display! Is this what your parents taught you before they died?!
He motions me to turn around with his finger. I turn around.
Mr. Phillips: Ridiculous.
He picks up his marker and writes something on the board. He says what he is writing.
Mr. Phillips: Charlotte Page has a very bad temper.
Henry stands up at his seat.
Henry: It-It was my fault, sir. I teased her.
Mr. Phillips: Sit down Hart. There is hardly an excuse. THE REST OF YOU PIPE DOWN.
The teacher continues to teach while I'm forced to stand at the board and look at the class. I started to walk toward the door. No facial expression was on my face.
Mr. Phillips: Where do you think you're going?
I continue to walk toward the door.
Mr. Phillips: PAGE?! GET BACK HERE NOW!
I continue to walk toward the door. Everyone sitting in their seats are looking at me. I grab my pack back and run out the door.
Mr. Phillips: PAGE?!
My house isn't that far from school so I run all the way home. I'm not coming back...ever. I run inside and hug my adoptive mom.
Mary: Charlotte? What are you doing back here?
Charlotte: The kids are mean.
Mary: Well where was Henry?
Charlotte: He was being mean too.
Mary: That doesn't sound like him.
Charlotte: I'm not going back.
Mary: Okay. You don't have to.
Later that Night-
I was sleep soundly when I here sirens going off. Mary comes in my room.
Charlotte: What's happening?
Mary: There's a fire in town. Everyone has to help because the fire department is under repair. Get your shoes on let's go.
At the Burning House...
Mary: This is the Blythe house.
Charlotte: Poor, Rachel.
Mary: Come on get the buckets.
Everyone in town is on the roof pouring water on the open windows of the house.
Charlotte: Is everyone out?
Rosie: Yeah. That's the Blythe family over there. You see Rachel?
Charlotte: Oh. Yeah. Thank god.
I look at the house and see that the windows AND doors are open.
Charlotte: Why are the windows and doors open?
I run into the house.
Rachel: CHARLOTTE?!
I look at Rachel and shut the door.
Rachel: NO! CHARLOTTE?!
I go upstairs and close all the windows.
Henry's POV-
I was pour water in the house when I saw a shadow go by the door inside. A few seconds later the shadow comes back and it's Charlotte.
Henry: Charlotte?!
She shuts the door. What the heck is she doing?
Charlotte's POV-
I closed all the windows and door and then went outside with everyone who looked worried. I started to cough.
Mary: Are you okay?
Charlotte: Yeah. I'm okay.
Jasper: Micheal?! She's okay!
Mary: What on earth were you thinking?
Charlotte: The windows and door provide oxygen for the fire. Closing all the doors and windows deprives it.
Mary: Oh my lord.
Jasper: Micheal?! It was Charlotte. She stopped the fire. She did it.
Henry's POV-
Jasper: Micheal?! It was Charlotte. She stopped the fire. She did it.
I smiled to myself as I poured more water on the fire inside the house. I knew she could do it but she scared me to death.
Charlotte's POV-
Me and Rachel visit her house that is under construction. Henry, Jasper, Ray, Schouz and Mitch are all helping the construction workers. Me and Rachel baked cookies for everyone for working so hard on her house. They didn't have to help the construction workers. I look over and see Rachel staring at Henry in a dase. She trips and falls on the dirty ground. Mitch laughs.
Mitch: Girls are so useless. Guess you should have stayed home in the kitchen, aye?
Charlotte: What is wrong with you?!
Mitch: Go home and bake cookies.
Henry: Head line. They already did.
Mitch: Go home and leave the men to their work.
Charlotte: Why don't you give me that hammer and I'll finish the job myself.
Mitch laughed and continued to hammer in the nails. Jerk. Henry climbs down and helps Rachel up.
Rachel: Thanks Henry.
Henry: No problem.
Me and Rachel started walking away.
Rachel: Henry is so chivalrous.
Charlotte: Oh he's something alright.
I said in sarcasm.
The Next Day at School-
Mr. Phillips: Alright. Open your books to page 38.
I walked in and put my backpack in my locker. Everyone was scaring at me.
Rachel: Charlotte!
She run up and hugged me. I smiled and we went and sat down.
Phillips: Ms. Page. Welcome back.
After Class-
I got my backpack and Henry walked up to me.
Henry: Hey. I'm sorry for pulling your hair and calling you a dog. I was just upset that you weren't talking to me.
Charlotte: It's okay Henry and I think now we can talk anytime you want.
Henry: Good.
The Next Day-
Me and Henry were the last two kids in the spelling bee. We're both really good at spelling words. Henry was playing for the boys and I was playing for the girls.
Mr. Phillips: Beautiful?
Henry: B-E-A-U-T-I-F-U-L.
The boys cheered. Mr. Phillips walk up to Penelope's desk and they look at each other.
Mr. Phillips: Magnificent?
Ewwwww. He's flirting with her with our words. He's like old and she's 18.
Charlotte: M-A-G-N-I-F-I-C-E-N-T.
The girls cheer.
Mr. Phillips: Incredible?
How about Nasty?
Henry: I-N-C-R-D-I-B-L-E.
The boys cheer again.
Mr. Phillips: Intelligent.
Ew. Ugh. Gross.
Charlotte: I-N-T-E-L-L-I-G-E-N-T.
The girls cheer once again.
Mr. Phillips: Engagement?
WHAT?! He's going to propose. She's 18. What the heck.
Henry: E-N-G-A-G-M-
Mr. Phillips: That is incorrect.
The boys moan and the girls cheer. Take that Mitch!
Henry: Congratulations. I should have spelled it with an E.
I nodded and walked away. Yess. It did it.
That Night-
I was trying to sleep when I heard a loud persistent knock on the door. It won't stop so I went down and opened the door. It was Henry.
Charlotte: Henry? What are you doing here? It's 3 in the morning.
Henry: Piper has a fever that won't go down. It's like 110. It's bad. I need help. My parents are out at a concert. I need you.
Charlotte: Okay. Let's go. Why didn't you text me?
Henry: I tried but it would go through and I could wait for it to get to you.
At Henry's House-
I put a cold towel on Pipers head.
Henry: Do you think she caught what my dad has?
Charlotte: No. I don't think so. How is your dad anyway?
Henry: He's been better. That's why my mom took him to see his favorite band.
Charlotte: Oh. Wait. I think Piper has a sinuous infection. Get me a super hot towel.
He did what I told him and I put the towel under Pipers eyes.
Charlotte: Okay Pipes. Blow your nose.
She blew her nose and I checked her temperature.
Charlotte: Okay she's back at 98. Let's get her to bed. Come on Piper.
We help piper get to bed and I eventually feel asleep by her bed.
Henry's POV-
The doctor finally arrived and told me the news. My parents came in with him worried.
Dr. Mike: That girl saved that kids life.
Henry: Oh. Thank god.
Dr. Mike: If it would have been any longer her mucus would have blocked her airway and she would have suffocated.
Henry: I'll wake her up and get her home. Charlotte?
I nudged her and she woke up.
Mrs. Hart: Oh. Charlotte. Thank you so much.
Charlotte: It was no problem. Piper is my family too.
I smile and get her home.
One Week Later...
Charlotte's POV-
My parent and everyone Henry knew was at his house for his fathers funeral. Henry's dad passed away a week ago a few days after Piper got better. He did in his sleep. I look out the window to see Henry walking out of the house. I catch up to him.
Charlotte: Henry? It's going to be okay. I mean I never knew my father but at least you have wonderful memories of him. In a way your really very lucky.
He turns around sharply.
Henry: You think I'm lucky?
Charlotte: Compared to me, yes.
Henry: And why is this about you?
He said that in a mean tone and walked away. Did I say something wrong. I turn my head and see Henry's dads grave stone. It said JACOB MICHEAL HART. A BELOVED HUSBAND AND FATHER. Oh damn. I upset him. Good going Charlotte his father just died you stupid.
The Next Day...
Henry's POV-
I was walking home alone when Mitch and his boys come up from behind me.
Mitch: Hey bud. Have you been practicing your spelling?
Henry: Why?
Mitch: Cause we need someone to show Charlotte she's not so smart.
Henry: She's smart. Deal with it.
Mitch and "his boys" laugh.
Henry: Here's an idea. How about you pick up a book and show her yourself.
Mitch: Yeah. You're funny bud.
I turn around to face him.
Henry: Listen. I'm not your bud and if you ever hassle Char again you'll regret it.
Mitch: What's your problem?
Henry: Ask me that again.
I start to walk away.
Mitch: Seriously man. What's your problem?
I turn around and tackle Mitch. I punch him then leave him on the ground. I get up and grab my bag and walk away.
Charlotte's POV-
I was eating breakfast when I heard Mary and Micheal yelling. I walked to the end of the hall but stayed back so they couldn't see me.
Mary: A mortgage?! Micheal?! We can't afford that!
Micheal: It will help us in the long run. All I have to do is work at little more and-
Mary: I don't want you doing more! I want you doing less!
All the sudden I hear a thud. Like something fell over.
Mary: Micheal!?
I ran over to him.
Charlotte: What's happened is he alright?!
Mary: I don't know! I'll call 911!
2 hours later...
Dr. Mike: He had a heart attack. It's not fatal but it could be if he keeps working. I suggest he rests for a while.
Charlotte: Oh thank goodness.
At school-
Charlotte: Mary says we have to sell some things to help pay off our house.
Jasper: Hey what if I help.
Charlotte: No Jasper. I can't let you do that.
Jasper: I'm sorry but I didn't ask for you permission.
Charlotte: Thanks Jasp.
Jasper: Your welcome. We'll go sell some stuff after school. Henry has a date with Savannah in town anyway maybe we'll bump into him and he can help too.
Charlotte: Cool. Thanks again Jasper.
After school...
Jasper: Charlotte are you sure you wanna sell this. It's the only thing you have left from your parents.
Charlotte: It's fine Jasper. My parents died when I was 3 years old. I don't even remember them. Can you go take this to the pawn shop down there.
Jasper: Sure.
Jasper takes my mother necklace and heads to the pawn shop.
Henry's POV-
I was sitting at a coffee shop with Savannah my girlfriend of 2 years. She's quite fun to be around.
Savannah: I'm telling you if you have fun here you're doing it wrong. So try it.
Henry: Savannah thank you for escorting me to this...tea place. Isn't it...lovely.
She laughed.
Savannah: Isn't it.
Henry: Well I have to get back to my house. My mom is probably making dinner. See ya Sav.
Savannah: Bye Henry.
Jasper's POV-
I got the money for the necklace. 175 bucks. Not bad. I started walking back to Charlotte when two creepy dudes got in my way.
Jasper: Excuse me.
Jackson: Nah I don't think you should be excused.
Jasper: Huh?
Alex: Whatcha got there?
All the sudden the started attacking me and punch me in the face. They took the money and ran away.
Jasper: Hey! Come back!
Charlotte's POV-
I was waiting for Jasper to come back with the money when I see a familiar face.
Charlotte: Henry!
Henry: Hey Char. What are you doing here?
Charlotte: Micheal accidentally applied for a mortgage that we can't afford so I'm selling some of my stuff to help.
Henry: Oh. I'm sorry.
Charlotte: What brings you here?
Henry: I just had a date with Savannah.
Charlotte: Oh yeah. I forgot. Oh. Henry I forgot I'm sorry for what I said at your dads funeral.
Henry: No. Its fine. You don't have to apologize.
Charlotte: Yes. I do. I'm really sorry. I shouldn't have said that.
Henry: It's fine Char. Really.
Charlotte: For real?
Henry: For real.
Charlotte: Okay good.
We chuckled.
Henry: Oh I also wanna say goodbye. Since my dad died Piper I had to get a job to help my mom with the expenses. I'm leaving swell view for a while. I got a job on a boat.
Charlotte: Really? Where is it going?
Henry: England. Just there and back here. I'll be back next school year.
Charlotte: Another first day with out you? Henry, thats our junior year.
Henry: I know but I promise I won't go anywhere for senior year.
Charlotte: Okay. Fine. I'll miss you.
Henry: You will?
Charlotte: In class. They'll be no one to complete with.
Henry: You wanna spell out some letters for old time sake.
We both giggle.
Charlotte: How about truce?
I hold out my hand for him to shake it and he takes my hand and does exactly that.
Henry: T-R-U-C-E.
We both laugh.
All the sudden Henry gets shoved.
Jasper: Get away from her!
Henry: Woah back off.
Charlotte: Jasper?
Jasper: Oh. Henry it's you.
Charlotte: Woah. Jasper what happened.
Jasper: I'm sorry charlotte. I lost the money. Some guys took it.
Charlotte: Jasper. It's okay. Mary is offering our house as room and board to make money. It's going to be fine.
Jasper: Okay. Good.
Jackson's POV-
Jackson: Hey how about this house. The Pages house.
Alex: That looks good. I'll call the number.
Just then I see the kid we took the money from.
Jackson: Alex? Don't turn around.
Alex: Why?
Jackson: The kid is right there.
Alex: Oh crap.
Charlotte's POV-
Charlotte: You can live with me Mary and Micheal for awhile just in case they know where your family lives.
Jasper: Thanks Char. I'd love too.
Henry: You guys better keep the door open.
Charlotte: Oh. Shut up. He won't be sleeping in my room.
We all laughed.
Henry: Okay guys. I have to go because I have to get up early tomorrow to catch the boat. See ya Jasper. Stay safe. Both of you.
Jasper: We will see ya.
Henry and Jasper hug. They stop and Jasper looks at us.
Jasper: I'll uh...leave you to alone.
He leaves.
Charlotte: I'll miss you.
Henry: I'll miss you too, char.
We hug each other. I can tell he didn't wanna let go. Neither did i. But we had to.
Henry: Well, I'll see ya on the second week of junior year.
I chuckle.
Charlotte: Bye Hen.
Henry: Bye Char.
That Night...
Mary, Micheal, Jasper and I are eating Dinner for the night. I'm so thankful that Mary let Jasper stay with me just till the Mugger situation is handled. Just then we heard a knock on the door. That must be the boarders. I got up and opened the door.
Alex: Hi.
Charlotte: Hello.
Jackson: Please tell me this is the Page residence.
Charlotte: It is. Come on in.
Jackson: Thanks.
The both walk in and I close the door. They go and introduce themselves to Mary and Micheal. I can't really here what they're saying because I'm thinking about Henry. I'm worried about him. I hope he's okay. Good Luck Henry.
