"Best time for new beginnings is now."
September 1st seemed to have snuck up rather quickly on Phoenix. Here she was waiting for the train to arrive and all she felt was a sickening churning in her belly. Her nerves seemed to be going haywire, and for a moment she wished she was back at Ilvermorny. It was safe, and familiar unlike Hogwarts. She had friends and plans that she suddenly had to abandon and for what? She assumed it had something to do with this Sirius Black that escaped Azkaban. She had heard whispers about it during her trip to Diagon Alley at first she had paid no mine. But now as she stood at the platform she wondered if perhaps she should have done so.
The screech of the train ceased such thoughts. Her eyes flickered up from the ground, and found herself staring at the Hogwarts express. Her eyes brightened slightly as she realized she could finally find a place to sit, but she found herself worrying about possibly taking someone's compartment. Suddenly Phoenix felt an elbow on both of her shoulders, and two voices stated, "You look rather lost. You alright there?"
Phoenix shoved the elbows off, and turned to the perpetrators. Twins stood before her, both with red hair and mischievous smiles on their face. "It's rather rude to sneak up on me like that, and I'm not lost!" She snapped. Her cheeks puffing up slightly as she eyed the two. "I'm a transfer so I'm just hesitant about going in is all."
One twin spoke up first a large grin on his face. "Ah a Newbie I see, and sorry about that had to get your attention somehow. I'm Fred-" "And I'm George, want some help," The other asked.
Phoenix's gaze flickered between the two for a moment. She was a little uncertain about these two. They gave off prankster vibes, but she was in desperate need of friends. She couldn't really turn them down, so she smiled rather nervously and responded, "Well I can't really deny help can I?"
A rather large grin spread across George's face, and Fred wrapped his arm around Phoenix's shoulder. "Well let's get going then Newbie no time to waste!" Fred pulled phoenix along as George appeared by her side. His eyes flickering over her curiously.
"So what's your name then? and why are your eyes gold? Was it a spell gone wrong-" George started, but then Fred chimed in, "Merlin's beard George one question at a time! How's she supposed to answer if you keep rattling on?" George seemed rather sheepish in that moment, and a laugh escaped Phoenix.
They were now walking down the train corridor as Phoenix began to speak, "Well you see I'm-" Phoenix was suddenly hitting a solid surface, and hit the ground with a thud. Her eyes flickered open after the impact as she heard Fred snapped, "Hey watch what you're doing Malfoy."
Her eyes were focused on the boy that had stepped out of the compartment. An all too familiar anger growing inside her as the boy from the book store, Draco Malfoy?, stood above her. His cold silver eyes tracing over her for a moment, as Phoenix growled, "Oh not you again."
