"An eye for an eye will only make the whole world blind.". — Mahatma Gandhi.

There was only silence between them, Samuel was giving a hateful glare towards black winged woman who just murdered his best friend. Issei had gone still from blood loss and wasn't moving anymore or even speaking. To Sam, he just lost his best and only friend to a woman who had confessed her love to him. He was angry, no furious, no livid to the point that the tightening of his hands had caused his nails to dig into the palm and pierced the skin. He was going to make her pay severely for the sinful act she just committed.

But before either one could move or even make a comment, there was a sudden flash of red coming from Sam's left. When it died down there was another woman standing next to Issei body, one that Samuel was familiar with. Rias Gremory was a woman of elegant beauty that seems to have no rival to, her bluish green eyes were the perfect mixture and a figure that would cause anyone to become distracted. But her most distinctive feature is her long beautiful crimson hair that reaches down to her thighs as a single piece sticks out from the top. Rias was wearing the Kuoh Academy girl's outfit which consists of a white long-sleeved, button-down shirt, with a black ribbon on her shirt collar worn under a black shoulder cape and a matching button-down corset, a magenta skirt with white accents, and brown dress shoes over white crew-length socks.

"You, why are you here and now of all times?!"

Yuuma seemed to be getting upset that Rias was here which was strange to Sam but he was more confused on the fact of how she got here. Rias just appeared out of thin air and didn't seem bothered by what was going on. The Gremory girl was just examining the scene before her eyes landed on Issei's body and a small gasp escaped her mouth. Rias rushes to his side, taking Issei's bleeding body into her arms without care for the blood getting onto her clothing.

"Poor Issei, why must fate be so cruel to the innocent."

"Innocent? Innocent! That boy was one of the biggest perverts in the world and a complete weaking. Why God gave him a Sacred Gear is beyond me."

Samuel's grim looked became even darker, he was tired of this woman's constant chatter. He looked over Rias who seemed to notice his presence and was looking at him with curiosity.

"You are... Samuel Kong, correct?"

"Yes."

"Issei is your friend, right?"

"He was my only friend...."

"I can save him."

Sam's heart skipped a bit, the air in his lungs seemed to have escaped his gasping mouth. Did he just hear that right? Did Rias Gremory just tell him that she can save Issei's life? But he was already gone, wasn't he? How could she save his life?

"I can save him, but it will cost him. But I must ask you, what is important at this moment?"

"Save his life, that is all I care about." He didn't even need a second to think, his mind was made up. If Rias could save his best friend then so be it. But that didn't mean he wasn't going to let that Yuuma girl get away with attempting to kill Issei.

"You won't be saving anyone, Gremory."

"Samuel, get behind me."

"Sorry Rais but..." Sam's hair was shadowing his eyes as the young man crouched down. His legs were spread apart from one another with his right leg out in front and his left to the back. Sam's right arm was placed in front him, his left behind him and muscles tense for a fight.

"I'm bagging this b**ch!"

With that said Sam rocket forward at Yuuma with such intense speed and force that his previous spot had cracked from the pressure. In a blink of an eye, Sam was in front of the winged woman who couldn't do anything as Sam landed a direct strike on her face. She was sent hurling backwards and hit the side of the road with enough impact to form a crater. Rais let out a small gasp of shock, how could a human have such power?

Sam landed on his feet, his face still somewhat grim with his heart still heavy with anger. But he paused for a second to remember something. A collection of words that were passed onto him a few years back during his first semester of Kuoh.

Samuel would never have seen himself joining any clubs on his first day at school but Issei had somehow dragged him along. There was an assembly with the Gym, several different clubs have set up booths to promote themselves. The pair had a good look through a few of them and Sam would admit some of them looked interesting enough to join. There was a newspaper club, an anime club, a cooking club, and even a gaming club. Issei noticed a booth called 'The Oppai's Religion', run by two other male students, that immediately caught his attention and was off in a heartbeat.

Sam just sighed and went to look for other clubs before stopping before a booth that caught interest. It was a martial art club that goes about the understanding and teaching of different styles. From the fliers, there were about twenty to thirty members within the club itself that were ranked from top students to lowest. There was a feeling in Sam's chest, as if something was telling him to join up for the club.

"Interested in joining?"

Sam turned to the voice in question and found himself looking at the fitness woman he had seen in his life. She was a fairly tall (possibly about 5'8 or 5'9), physically fit, and well-toned woman with muscles lined throughout her arms, legs, and abdomen. By a glance, Sam would say that the woman was of partial Asian heritage due to the pale skin, gray eyes, and shaggy short black hair. Sam wouldn't say it out loud but this girl was one of the most beautiful & impressive women he'd ever seen which is second to Sister Alice.

"Y-Yeah, I was just looking through the flier a-and was thinking of.." He was stumbling on his words, cheeks flustered in embarrassment. This little action just seemed to have caused the girl to giggle a little.

"Well we're always looking for new members. But there are rules and regulations for everyone to follow, though I'll go over the prime rule. If you join then you must understand that these lessons aren't meant to be used for selfish reasons. We study martial art to better ourselves and to help those that cannot help themselves, fighting not only to protect but to defend others. Never let your emotions get the better of you or else you risk leaving the world in ruins."

Those words, they repeated in his mind and seemed to have calmed his nerves a little bit but still kept his guard up. The woman, his Sensei, had told him to never let his emotions get the better yet look at him. Sam was fighting purely on the feeling of rage and instinct to get revenge for Issei due to the woman's actions. This wasn't what his Sensei would want, nor what Issei would want or even Father Donathan.

"Y-You Bast**d!" Yuuma was climbing out the crater she made after receiving Sam's fist to her cheek. A trail blood could be seen from her mouth, her clothes were a little roughed up and she seemed to stumble a little. "Y-You think you some hotshot j-just because you got t-the drop on me!!"

"Leave..."

"W-What?"

"Leave, I'm done with this. I have better things to do than waste my time with you."

Yuuma growled out of him but didn't make a move, Sam was theorizing that she was thinking of her next move. Suddenly the girl shot into the air with a flap of her wings. She floated in the sky and peered down to Sam with a look that promised pain.

"I'll remember this, I'll make sure the next time we see each other that I will run you through with my spear. That's a fallen angel's promise, you stupid monkey!! Go back to that wh*r* devil and worthless friend!" With that she flew away, going to lick her wounds while mentally imagining herself stabbing Sam over and over again. Meanwhile Sam just watched her leave until she was gone from his sights that he allowed a breath of air to be released.

"Fallen Angel? Monkey! Devil?! What the hell was she talking about?"
