Jungkook's POV

I decided to give Y/N time for herself so she could let everything sink in and calm down. Hopefully I could explain everything tomorrow because the fact that she thought I lied to her made me feel nothing less but awful. Why couldn't she see that she was my absolute everything? That I would literally die for her? I sighed and went back downstairs where I was met by Taehyung and Jimin. "Judging by that door slam, it didn't work?", Taehyung figured and I nodded.

"I'll try again tomorrow. Maybe it's for the best if I leave her alone for now", I mumbled and put her gifts on the coffee table. "Aside from the Yeri incident, how was your date? Did you show her everything?", Jimin asked in curiosity.

"Actually, we got along quite well. I made her laugh, we joked around... We really got closer until she showed up. Who knows where we things could've gone if it wasn't for Yeri? I mean, Y/N even invited me back to my room when I told her I couldn't sleep without her"

"Really? Wow. Yeri really ruined it for you", Taehyung huffed and ran a hand through his hair. "You have no idea. Y/N and I were about to kiss when she interrupted us. That's way worse", I scoffed and dropped myself on the couch.

"About to kiss? You're really having the worst day out of all of us. Should we sneak into the cellar and steal some wine? Maybe that'll make you feel better?", Jimin suggested and I shook my head. "Alcohol won't solve my problems"

"What about the picnic? Did you get to have lunch with her before everything went downhill?", Taehyung wondered and my eyes widened. "Oh my god. I completely forgot about that. I'll better go get everything back inside", I realized and jumped on my feet.

Since Y/N was all about hideouts and safe places, I wanted to show her mine and have a nice picnic with her but things got out of hand before we could even get there. I thought she might like it there and make it her temporary safe place.

Agreeing to continue where we left off that Saturday night on the cliff but having no more secrets in our way promised a bright future for us, especially if she was going to recognize me as her mate soon. Everything seemed to be perfect.

Things took such a drastic and quick turn but I tried to focus on the positive. I was so proud of Y/N for being promoted to a low rank Delta and I wish I could celebrate with her... If only it wasn't for... Ugh. Never mind. I'm upset. Really upset.

After I brought all the food, blankets and pillows back inside, I went to the kitchen and found Rosé doing the dishes. "Do you need help?", I asked and stood next to her. "You could dry them off and put them back", she replied with a thankful smile.

I grabbed a towel and started rubbing over the plates, while she kept glancing up at me as if she wanted to say something but always changed her mind in the last second. "You're not very subtle. Just say it already. It can't go on like this", I groaned.

"I heard you had a rough day and although you probably already talked to the boys about it, I just wondered if you needed another shoulder to cry on. I'm always here for you too, you know?", she remarked and made me sigh.

"I don't want to keep talking about this disaster of a date. Everything could've been perfect, my idea was perfect, Y/N was perfect but then Yeri... Ugh. I can't keep thinking about it anymore", I mumbled and started stacking the dry plates.

"I'm sorry that things went the way they did. Do you know how Yeri even got here without us noticing? Our borders are guarded nonetheless", Rosé wondered and I shrugged. "She could've flirted her way in or simply lied"

As I put the plates back in their cabinets, I suddenly got an idea. "There's something you could help me with. You as Y/N's closest friend and a girl can explain her perspective on this situation to me, right?", I figured and watched how she furrowed her brows at me.
