Jungkook's POV

"You're my mate!"

My eyes widened at her outburst and instantly wandered over to Y/N who was even more startled than I was. Her face reflected shock, pain and disappointment but most of all anger.

She slowly squinted her eyes and took a couple of steps back all while Yeri was still hugging me. I pushed her away from me and tried to stop Y/N from leaving but she raised her hand to cut me off before I could even try.

"Your mate?", she breathlessly asked. "Jungkook is your mate?". "Y/N..", I started but got cut off instantly. "Yes, he is!", Yeri giggled and held onto my arm. "Sorry, you are?". "Nobody", Y/N answered and averted her eyes as she continued walking backwards.

"Really. Ignore me. Just forget that I was ever here". She turned around and started running downhill and probably followed the path into the forest. The feeling of her heartbreak hit me just as she vanished between the trees and my wolf immediately lost it.

He clawed into my head and repeatedly commanded me to go after her which I wanted to do anyways but Yeri stopped me. "Where do you think you're going? Didn't you hear me? You're my mate, Jungkook!", she repeated happily and I quickly got rid of her arms around me.

"No, I'm not. I already found my mate. What are you doing here? Why did you say that?", I asked her in both anger and frustration because I seriously couldn't understand why she would do something like this. "You f-found your mate? But-", Yeri stuttered in shock.

"I found my mate, that's all you need to know. You need to leave. I think you really upset her and I have to fix things now. Go", I cut her off immediately and gestured her to get lost. "That girl? She is your mate? You're joking, right? That ugly duckling is not even close to your type"

"That girl is the future Luna of this pack therefore of higher rank than you. Show some respect. And what do you know about my type? Go home or do I have to order someone to escort you?", I threatened but already linked Jimin because I knew she wouldn't leave on her own.

"But I love you, Jungkook. We're meant to be...", she softly said and walked closer to me again. "No, we're not and I don't love you, I never have. I have my mate and you will find yours at some point. Now leave, Yeri", I repeated sternly but it wasn't enough to get rid of her.

"Is this really what you want? Just think about the future we could have. Our packs could unite and we would be invincible", Yeri pointed out with her flirtatious voice that weirdly got on my nerves. I didn't want anyone to talk to me like that except for Y/N.

"Not interested", I assured her and turned my head to the side, where I saw Jimin approaching us. "Now if you'll excuse me, I have to talk to my mate. Jimin will escort you to the border. Goodbye, Yeri"

Jimin walked over to us and motioned Yeri to go with him. She pouted and tried to convince me of her love one more time but I ignored her pleads and started going after Y/N. My wolf was still driving me crazy but he also urged me to find her quickly.

She finally decided to give me a chance and I'm not willing to let Yeri and her foolish feelings ruin that for me. "Jungkook! Wait up!", Taehyung suddenly yelled out of nowhere. "Not now, Tae. I need to find Y/N. We had a misunderstanding and she ran away"

"You have to listen to me! I think I know why she's so underdeveloped but I need you to come with me", he blurted out while panting, making me assume that he ran all the way here from the archive. "Can't we talk about that later? It won't matter when she's gone or-"

*Jungkook, there's a stranger at the training area. What should we do?*, Jennie, one of our best Deltas informed me. *Who is it?*, I asked back because I definitely didn't have the patience to deal with another surprise visitor.
