"Edmund? Oh, Edmund! You got in too! Isn't it wonderful?" Lucy ran up to a boy Y/N didn't recognise and hugged him tightly.
"Where've you been?" Edmund asked sourly.
"With Mr Tumnus. Oh, and I almost fell off a cliff! But don't worry. Y/N saved my life," Lucy explained.
Y/N, who was not in view of the siblings (and thank goodness for that), started blushing madly.
"Who's Y/N?" Edmund asked.
"Lucy looked around before spotting Y/N behind a bush. She ran back and pulled her towards Edmund.
"Y/N, this is Edmund, my brother. Edmund, Y/N," Lucy introduced them.Y/N drank in the boy's features. He had dark brown hair, brown eyes and light freckles dotting his pink cheeks and nose. The two smiled at each other, their eyes lingering for a moment too long.
But Lucy broke the moment by saying, "Are you alright? You look awful."
She said this to Edmund. And she was right right; he did look awful.
"Well, what do you expect? I mean, it's freezing! How do we get out of here?" Edmund snapped.
Lucy looked at Y/N.
"I'll be right back. And I'll bring Peter and Susan too! Just stay here so I can find you again."
Y/N nodded at her friend, smiling. She knew that she wasn't going to get out of Narnia anytime soon, at least not on her own. And she had a strong feeling that Lucy - and even Edmund - were going to be very close to her, somehow.Y/N waited for a long while, staring at the sun. She had noticed that the Narnian sun was much brighter and younger and more beautiful than the sun back home. When the sun began to set, she realised that Lucy wasn't back yet. Perhaps something had come up. Whatever it was, Y/N knew that Lucy and Edmund weren't coming back any time soon. This was the last thing Y/N thought about before letting her eyes fall shut and drifting off to sleep.
**********
"Ow! Stop it!"
Y/N jerked awake. Was that Edmund? She couldn't really tell, because she had only just met him once.
"You little liar!"
Y/N decided to investigate the source of the voices (they weren't too far away).
"You didn't believe her either."
"Apologise to Lucy. Say you're sorry!"
"Did he say Lucy? Oh, he did! Now I'm sure the other voice was Edmund's," Y/N thought.
"Alright! I'm sorry."
"That's alright. Some little children just don't know when to stop pretending."
"Oh, very funny."
"Lucy?" Y/N asked, finally catching sight of her.
"Y/N!" Lucy ran up to the older girl, wrapping her arms around her waist.
Y/N hugged back, but her focus was on two other children who were older than Lucy, Edmund and herself. A girl and a boy.The boy, who was taller, had blonde hair and piercing blue eyes. He also wore a friendly smile. The girl had brown hair - darker than Lucy's, but lighter than Edmund's - pale blue eyes and rouge cheeks.
"Y/N, meet Peter and Susan. Peter and Susan, this is Y/N. Remember I told you that she saved my life?" Lucy said, making Y/N's cheeks redden.
"Did you, really?" Peter asked.
"Um...yeah..." Y/N said awkwardly.
This was one of those moments you would wish to happen, but when it actually does, you get all bashful and embarrassed.
"Thank you." Susan smiled gratefully.
"But I think we should go back," she continued.
"Shouldn't we at least take a look around?" Edmund suggested.
"I think Lucy should decide." Peter looked at his youngest sister, who gasped in excitement.
"I'd like you all to meet Mr Tumnus!" Lucy smiled widely.
"Well, then Mr Tumnus it is," Peter decided, walking into a crowded clump of trees.
(He had actually walked into the wardrobe through which the Pevensies had entered Narnia, but Y/N could only see trees, because the wardrobe wasn't meant for her to pass through.)
"But we can't go hiking in the snow dressed like this," Susan thought aloud.
"No." Peter came back with a bundle of five coats, "But I'm sure the Professor wouldn't mind us using these."The eldest Pevensie began handing out coats to the others.
When he came to Susan, he continued, "Anyway, if you think about it logically, we're not even taking them out of the wardrobe."
He seemed to be teasing his sister, but it must have been an inside joke, because Y/N didn't catch on.
"But that's a girl's coat!" Edmund complained when Peter handed it to him.
Y/N felt bad for Edmund. She was beginning to form a soft spot for the boy.
"I know," was Peter's simple reply.
