[PAYTON'S POV]

not going lie, i felt bad for yelling at Avani. but it just came out. maybe i was a little to harsh on her. but she yelled first.

i could hear how fast her breathing was getting and how fast her heart was. she was also stuttering on her words. and water forming in her eyes. usually signs when someone is about to cry.

she probably doesn't want to hangout with Brooklyn and Jackson anymore. and Brooklyn convinced me to go. DING!

a message popped up on my phone screen.

Brooklyn 😊: were all meeting up at Tiffy's.

i replied with a ok.

i made it to tiffy's and Jackson and Brooklyn was already there sitting at the booth we always sit at. i went and sat on the side Brooklyn was sitting on and pecked her cheek.

"hey. you ok?" she greeted me. "yeah, i'm fine. what's up Jackson." i greeted him. "i wonder where avani's at." Brooklyn said concerned.

"hopefully she didn't ditch us." Jackson awkwardly giggled. i could tell he was tired of third wheeling with me and Brooklyn. "maybe i should call her, it is getting late."

Brooklyn pulled out her phone. DING. the front door of the cafe open. it was avani. she came, even after our argument. "hey guys sorry i'm late." she came and sat next to Jackson.

i could see the bags forming under her eyes, and the redness coming in her eyes. she was crying. now i feel like a dick.

"i was getting worried, i didn't know if your was going to show up." Brooklyn said. "sorry again. traffic.." she explained. "good thing your here. i was scarred i'd have to third wheel again." Jackson adds.

she gave a slight giggle to his response. "are y'all ready to order?" the waitress came up to our table. "yes please, i'll have the hamburger combo. and a refill of pepsi." Brooklyn told her her order.

the lady wrote down Brooklyn's order. "i'll have chilly cheese fries, with a refill of sprite." Jackson gave her his order. "i'll have-" "i want-"

me and avani said at the same time. "i'm sorry go ahead." she insisted. "i'll just have some fries, with ketchup, and sum water." i told her. "and i'll have the six piece buffalo chicken with water.

"Avani added and the lady finished up writing our orders. "ok, it'll be out as soon as possible." she gave us a warm smile before walking away from our table.

"why didn't  you guys order yet?" Avani asked. "we wanted to wait in you." Brooklyn told her.

"you didn't have to starve cause of me." Avani frowned. "so, what's the tea?" Brooklyn tone turned into excitement.Avani's eyes widen at her question.

"umm, what tea?" she asked. "with you and harry." here we go again. i rolled my eyes at Brooklyn's answer and i could tell avani and Jackson saw me. "umm, we just study together nothing more. i think." she answers Brooklyn's question.

"so y'all are getting somewhere? is what your saying." Brooklyn tried to continue the conversation. this wasn't awkward at all!Avani looked as if she wanted the conversation to be over as well.

i am so tired of the name harry. and i'm tired of listening and talking about harry and avani together. as a couple. i don't like the thought.

and i know i'm not jealous. i can't be, never was jealous of anybody or anyone and never will be. the lady soon came out with our food and drinks.

i blurred out every time they'd bring up a love life for avani or even Jackson. they shouldn't notice that i feel some type of way when they bring up the topic.

so i stopped being quiet and talked more. but not to avani. she looked as if she didn't want anything to do with me. and it's all my fault...

i probably just lost the best thing that had ever happened to me.

11:34 PM

we spent a little more time together but time went by and it started to get late. "ok guys, it's officially 11:34, and we're the only ones left in this cafe. so i'm going to go hit the hay." Avani stretch's then yawns.

"what really?! i didn't know it was so late." Brooklyn checked her phone. "do you need a ride? you can ride with the rest of us?" Brooklyn asked.

"no i'm fine, i like the night sky, and walking at night, besides the scary thought of being kidnapped." Avani giggles.

"ok goodnight and be safe." Brooklyn said her goodbye. "goodnight babe." Jackson added before avani waved goodbye walking out the cafe.

5 mintues later...... ( in a spongebob voice)

"you know what? im going to walk home to. see you later babe." i kissed Brooklyn and left out the cafe. i waited so that i could follow avani. no creepy shit.

i continue following her but then she noticed something behind her. luckily for me i have vamp speed and got out of sight so she wouldn't see that i was behind her.

she was now further ahead of me now. so i walked slower so she wouldn't turn around again. "you know i know your behind me?" i heard her say with my vampire hearing sense. how did she know though?

she quickly turned around and saw me. i panicked and ran behind the closest car. "what do you want Payton? and why are you following me?"

dammit.
