recap: i caught Payton following me.. that's not weird at ALL.
[AVANI'S POV]
"why are you following me?!" i folded my arms while being faced with Payton. "to make sure you get home safe." he answer walking closer to me.
"i'll be fine, go back." i turned around and kept walking. "you know there's a 90% chance of you getting snatched up?" Payton appeared beside me.
"i walked home alone at night a bunch of times. why all of a sudden your concerned?" i rolled my eyes. "look, i'm sorry. i'm sorry for yelling at you and not giving you a explanation."
"mhmm." i replied to his words. "truth is.." BEEP BEEP!! a black truck sped down the street and all i could see where the bright white lights and heard only the horn.
but luckily for me Payton was there. he vamp sped me over to the side walk causing us to fall into someone's yard.
"you ok?!" he said on top of me. "i-i'm fine." my breathing was out of control. "good." he sat there looking into my eyes. "ahem," he cleared his throat to get rid of the awkward silence.
"here. let me help you." he awkwardly but yet quickly got up and held out his hand. he lightly pulled me up. "thanks." i said still out of breath.
"your welcome, now if i wasn't here. you'd be road kill." he giggled. "haha. it's not my fault a dumb person doesn't know how to drive." i walked up the side walk.
"you shouldn't be walking in the street." he said. i scoffed. "ok, who's side are you on?" i slightly chuckled. "yours of course." he chuckled.
"friends?" he held his hand out for me to shake. "friends." i hugged him instead. he hugged me back and walked me home.

"you sure your going to be ok?" he asked. he asked this about a hundred times before. we've literally been standing on my porch for over 15 minutes.
"yes Payton ." i giggled. "alright." he was about to leave off the porch. "but if you need something don't hesitate to cal-"
"Payton! i'm fine." i went up to him and placed my hands around his waist and buried my head into his chest and hugged him." "ok." he held my face and looked into my eyes. why does he keep doing this.
not even going to lie, it's effecting me. i don't know in what way though. he started to lean in like he was about to kiss me. "Pay-" he kissed my forehead instead.
"goodnight vani, sleep well beautiful." he spoke so softly and yet so quiet. it sent shivers down my back. he called me beautiful. was that appropriate?

location: schools cafeteria..
i was in the lunch line waiting to get a slice of pizza. but the kids in front of me took the last piece. i rolled my eyes. literally just stood in this line for nothing.
"here have mine." i turned around to harry handing his tray of pizza to me. "no no, i'm fine really." i denied his offer. "take it avani " i gave in and took the pizza.
"thank you." i gave him a warm smile. "don't worry about it." he smiled back. "see you later.." i waved before walking to the table where my friends sat at.
"hey avani!" i walked pass the table they were at. how could i miss it. i turned back to see that i walked pass their table. "i'm sorry." i giggled. i noticed that Payton wasn't there.
"you walked straight past us." Jackson gave a small laugh. "i know i was out of it. any who. what are we talking about?" i bit into my pizza.
"homecoming is this friday. and your the only one without a date." Brooklyn frown. "Jackson doesn't have a date." i said. Brooklyn looked at me like i was dumb.
i turned towards Jackson. "you have a date?!" i practically scream. "shut up! and yes." he puts nonexistent hair behind his ear. "who is it?" i was excited. Jackson hasn't had a girlfriend in how long?
"its a surprise." he smirked. "did he tell you?" i asked Brooklyn . "nope he told me it was a surprise as well." she said. and i'm guessing Payton asked her too.
"well then i guess i am the only one without a date." i awkwardly laugh. "no your not because we're going to get harry to ask!" they both stared at me smiling.
"and how are you gonna do that?" i was confused. "i've gotta few tricks up my sleeves that'll guarantee that that boy will ask you to homecoming." she smiled once again.
