location: 3rd hour.

ok it's only 3rd hour. there's still time for harry to ask me to the dance. my heart is racing. i don't know why though. i guess i'm kinda nervous.

scared mostly, considering i'm going to be the only one in my friend group without a date. its fine... ok it's not fine, i'm freaking out. calm down avani. calm down.

the sound of glory! the last bell of the day, singling for us to go home! today's bell hit different. maybe because homecoming is tonight..

the feeling of someone hands wrapped around my head covering my eyes.

then the person removed their hands. i turned around with a paper inches away from from my face. it was harry, his text paper was in front of my face.

"yes! you did it!" i jumped into his arms. luckily he cought me. then i realized what i just did. "i'm sorry." i rubbed the back of my neck. "don't be. i couldn't have done it without you."

"i missed you at my party yesterday." he added."

i'm sorry. remember had to catch up with homework i forgot about." i lied. "oh yeah, i forgot."

he smirked at me. "um there's something i've been wanting to ask you for a while now."

this could be it! unless he's inviting me to something else. "would you wanna go to homecoming with me?" he bit his bottle lip waiting on a answer. yes!!!

"yeah sure. i mean yes i'd love to go with you." i tried to play it cool.

i over heard avani's and harry's conversation. looks like we don't need a plan b. i got to tell Brooklyn. i took out my phone and clicked on her contact.

hey guys." i walked up to avani and harry. "what's up pay." harry said hold out his hand. "don't ever call me that." i clenched my jaw.

"ok.." he moved his hand behind his neck. "come on vani let's get you to class." i motioned my head. "see you later harry." she waved at him.

"i'll pick you up at 8?" he asked. "yes." she hugged him obviously blushing. gross. not gross her, gross him. does she really like this dude?

"come on pay" she mocked harry, skipping in front of me.

"so he asked you to the dance?" i asked her catching up. "yes! i wonder why it took so long." she said. i could tell she was happy that he asked her.

now i know that harry can be compelled. we got to our 4th period and walked in.
