Why do we wish
Why do we try
When everything's hopeless
Why do we cryWe do these things
Because we all feel
Because we all hurt
We are not made of steelBut why must with beauty
Always come pain
Why must with sunshine
Always come rainWhy must with up
Always come down
Why must with smiles
Always come frownsThese things they come
Wanted or not
They keep us strong
So we do not rotIf you're lucky
You happen to survive
Nourish your love
Until it so thrivesOnce it is complete
Come to my cave
My happy place
My deadly graveSpread your love
Across my face
So that even in death
I may be blessed with your graceWhen it is done
Lie next to me
Face all your fears
And you shall be set free
