Monsters Inside Me

I have known many people
In the time I have lived
But I once met a man
I much despised

He was displeasing
Deformed
A horrible man
I may not have been a good man either

But this man
He was like the Hyde to my Jekyll
He was terrible
He spoke of killing and death
Without saying a single word

He brought my worst nightmares back to mind
He tortured me with his sickening stare
He had terrible thoughts, which he spoke of with his unpleasant voice

When finally I could take no more
Of this man's horrible glance
I looked away
And remembered in horror

This man will always be with me
When I look in the mirror...

Because you can do many things like cure sickness
But one thing you cannot do
Is separate a Jekyll
From a Hyde
