It's hard to ignore Emmy.She looked so good in that satin dress and her scent was more appealing.I took my eyes off her so no one will be suspicious.I can't risk her life.She thinks am still angry at her but am not.I can't even sleep.

I feel empty having her here but not being able to hold her, cuddle with her or spoon her.I wish I could hear her heart beat.The walls are soundproof.
Even my heightened sense can't hear from beyond.

I get up and head to her chamber.I open the door and enter.She's staring at the ceiling.I lie on her bed and pull her closer.
"Why are you here? You've been treating me as if am invisible",she whispers harshly and try to take my hands of her waist.
"Nothing",I say
She pulls my hands off her and sit.
"You can't tell me it's nothing!!I don't know anyone here and you're ignoring me.I feel like trash.Leave!!"something wet drop on my hands.She's crying.I made her cry.
"Leave now!"she screams.I now see the importance of the soundproof walls.
"I can't leave,you need me "I say softly.
"Hypocrite!! You're the one who needs me because you're here.I don't need you! Leave!!"well the truth hurts.I can make her sleep in one way.
"Sleep",I wave my hands and she falls on the bed and close her eyes.

I tuck her hair behind her ears.She's so beautiful.So innocent.I kiss her tears and pull her back into me so I can spoon her.Every inch of our body is pressed together.I close my eyes and let sleep consume me.

I wake up and leave.I'm not supposed to be seen with any of the maidens.I walk into my chamber and lie down.Today all the maidens each will be given an hour with me.

I thought Aiden was here.Stupid me!!I imagined it all.I walk to the bathroom and take a bath.
So today am supposed to wear a gold strapless gown.
I dress up and pull my hair into a tight ponytail.I hear a knock on the door and ask the person to come in.
"Miss am sorry,I had something to do,it won't happen again"karen rushes out.
"What did I ask you to call me? Don't worry am fine.Maybe you can help with the make up."I say.
"Yes Miss,I mean Emmy",she helps me apply make-up and other stuff.

I walk into the dining hall and realised everyone is seated including the Queen mother and the prince.I try to walk out but a voice stops me.
"Time is important to us.Miss Emmy take your seat.Your punishment will be given to you before the close of the day",Aiden says.How I want to roll my eyes!!
"Thank you,Prince Aiden",I say and take my seat.
I eat a small amount of food.I can't leave unless the Queen and Aiden leave.
The Queen,a princess and Aiden get up leave.I think that's Natalie his sister.
Taira smiles widely at me and I know where this is heading to.
"The prince will punish you",she wiggle her eye brow.
"Yh I guess",I sigh
"No, I mean punishment.You know,a man punishing a woman",she says and I giggle.
"Pervert, that's not what he meant",I exclaim.
"Yh I know",she raises her hands in surrender.
We leave the Dining hall.

I hear my name at last!!I guess I was the last person here that's why I'm the last.
I decide to rest since lunch will be brought to our chambers.

"Can't I just ignore him?I mean I don't need an hour with him",I tell Karen.It's my turn but I don't think I can handle this.That jerk!!
"No Emmy,it will be disrespectful of you not to see him,he even decided to pardon you!!You won't be punished",Karen says with enthusiasm.
"Alright if you say so",I shuffle nervously and step out of my chambers.I head to the room he's in.I plump on the chair that faces him.

"What do you want",my voice come out harsher than I wanted.
"That's no way to speak to a prince,Emmy.I demand respect when you speak to me",he says through clenched teeth.I cower at the sound of his voice.
"I don't feel like talking with you, excuse me,Prince Aiden"I mumble and get up to leave but he turns me around.

He walks towards me like a predator to it's prey and I back into a wall.My back hits the wall and I wish the wall would swallow me.He leans in and bites my ear.

"I feel like ravishing you when you call me Prince Aiden.I want to take you against the wall.Why don't we check whether the walls are soundproof?Or my hands over your mouth can muffle your moans."he whispers huskily.Does he know what he's doing to me?The whole room suddenly feels hot.

I won't give him the pleasure.I lean into him and catches him off guard by connecting my knee to the think between his legs.I'm sure he's thinking from there!!

"Ouch,fuck"he groans
"What's that what you did to all those maidens? you're disgusting",I sneer at him and slam the soor.
Who does he think he is?I don't even know why am here!!The nerve of him to say such things.

The days passed by so quick.We had so many activities and most of the potential Queens were disqualified and sent back home.I have not been in contact with Aiden since that day and I don't know if am happy or sad.We're now five.I wonder why am still here.Today is Saturday and there'll be a party in the evening.

Knock knock

"Come in please",I call out.
I nearly faint when I see the Queen enter.I froze but I was snapped out as soon as she closed the door.I quickly get up and fall off the bed clumsily.I curtsy and she smiles.She takes a seat on the sofa.

My palms sweat and I begin to fear.
"Emmy sit down",she says softly and I sit.
"I know you my son's erasthai",she says and I look at her wide eyed.

"How",I mutter

"He looks at you differently.I knew from the start when he said he'll bring a maiden to join the potential Queens but I wanted to confirm it.He's nervous around you.I feel the tension in the air when you're around",she squeezes my hands and that's when I realized am crying.
"Today there'll be many men around and I want you to test his self control.His father marked me the first time he laid eyes on me.He wanted to mark his territory to prive other men of me.I'm surprised he hasn't marked you yet.Smile at the party.Dance with the princes when they ask you for a dance without a second thought.Ill send the the other maidens to their families with apologies.I want him to be with you,his other half."

I sniff and smile at her.
"Thanks for everything,your highness"
"Call me mom",she draws out and I look at her to see if I heard her right.She nods her head in response.
She hugs me and leave the room.

I don't know whether I should feel happy or sad.His mom knows.Why is he keeping it from everyone? Doesn't he want me?
I groan out frustrated.
