Her Mission-1

Shutting my alarm off, I managed to drag myself out of bed. Its now a month I graduated from Clemson, so I decided to look for a job considering the fact that I'd like to be free from my parents strong hold on my life.
"Good morning Mary" I greeted my nanny of about ten  years.
"Another lazy morning Cam." She replied smiling warmly.
"You know me" I mumbled still wanting to crawl back into the comfort of my soft bed and my teddy Mr Cuddles.
"Good morning people!!" My best friend yelled letting herself through the front door.
"Couldn't you have been less loud" I grumbled while stuffing myself with pancakes.
"You know Raine loves her grand entrance loud" My other best friend chuckled helping himself to a slice of pancake.
"So, you both have nothing better to do on a Tuesday morning aside barge into my house and stuff your faces with my food?" I questioned narrowing my eyes at Raine.
"Well, I ran out of groceries, so I decided to come across the road and have breakfast with my lovely friend" Noah replied.
"Noah, you live in the next street, why were you across the road from my house?"
"That my best friend, is something I'm not gonna reply" he replied giving me a kiss on the cheek.
"Its good to know you share mutual feelings of love leaving me out." Raine muttered.
"Why little Raine.. Are you jealous I prefer dicks to pussies" Noah replied smugly
"Noah, for the nth time today, you suck" Raine bickered.
"Well when you both are done bickering, come help me with my job search" I said heading to the lounge.
"Finally, you decided to get yourself a job" Noah said plopping on the bean bag.
"She took a month to make that decision" Raine said trying to stifle a laugh.
I rolled  my eyes  and gave them the flying bird.
"So where do you have in mind"
"I don't know. Just somewhere that pays well"
"Cam, you don't even need the money. You live in a mansion and ride one of the best cars"
"I told you guys they were given to me by my parents and I'm done collecting stuffs from them"
"What about Weston Empire?" Raine said from where she was sitting.
"What about Weston Empire?" Noah asked
"Cam could go for an interview there. I heard they have hot guys"
"Seriously, are we doing that now Raine?"
"No. But seriously, its a good company plus they pay very well and you get to see hot guys every day"
"I only need the money" I explained again
"You haven't dated since 12th grade Cam. Don't you think you should date again" Noah said
"No, I don't. Can you two help me now?!"
"I bet little Cam is still a virgin" Raine teased doubling down in laughter along with Noah.
"Seriously guys!!. I would get a job and move far away from you two" I grumbled.
"You wouldn't do that.." Raine said taking a bite from her apple.
"Whatever" I muttered knowing fully well that she was right.
I could never handle the absence of those two in my life. Even if they are very annoying and never seem to stop teasing me about my non existent love life.

I listened to what Raine said and applied for a job at Weston Empire along with about two other companies  and I'll be going for my interview by Friday at Weston Empire.
"Let's head out for ice cream" Noah voiced out
"Its two in the afternoon" I deadpanned
"So, is there a rule that's against afternoon ice cream trips" Noah chirped  on his way out the door
"You going?" Raine asked me
"Yeah sure, I could really use a bowl of ice cream now plus, if we don't go I'm pretty sure Noah would have our heads" I said packing my phone and money into my purse.
"True, I wonder how Noah keeps up with himself" she said heading out the door.
I yelled a quick goodbye to Mary telling her we were going down for ice cream at our favorite ice cream parlor.
"You know mint flavor of ice cream isn't that bad" I explained to my friends after placing our orders.
For some reason I myself do not understand, I only take mint flavor of ice cream but my friends do not seem to share the similar likeness for that.
"I've been telling you since college freshman year, the flavor sucks and I don't even know why you take it" Raine replied taking a bite from her chocolate flavored ice cream
"Well if it sucked they wouldn't have produced it" I argued.
"Sometimes Cam, I do not know how I'm still friends with you" Noah replied gazing out the window.
Huffing in annoyance I decided to let that go.
"How's the studio going?" Noah asked Raine after few seconds of silence.
"Far better than I envisioned.  I mean, I sold about three expensive paintings yesterday"
"That's great Raine" I said smiling at her
"Way better than being unemployed" Noah said
"Hey!!  Pretty boy, I won't be unemployed for long. I already applied to Weston Empire and I'm going for my interview on Friday" I half yelled at Noah.
"Yeah yeah.."
"What about you, how's the diner doing?" Raine asked Noah.
"Its all good aside I've been waiting for the ingredients I ordered for weeks now and I've not gotten it"
"The weather on the sea sucks these days. You'll get it delivered in three days or so" I said trying to lift his mood.
We ate our ice cream while chatting animatedly among ourselves. At one point Noah burst out laughing because of a joke Raine said and I couldn't help but join my best friends in goofing around an ice cream parlor on a Tuesday afternoon. And right now, I couldn't have wished for anything better.
