Her Mission-3

I was super excited to go to work I woke up an hour before my alarm went off. Mary was so surprised she couldn't hold it in.
"Someone is excited for her first day at work" she said while vacuuming the living room.
"You can't imagine how happy I am right now Mary. I am so excited but at the same time I'm nervous I'll mess things us" I said taking a bite from my sandwich.
"You'll do great Cam. I know that,now go to that Weston Empire and knock all of them down with your awesomeness" She said encouraging me
"Thanks a lot Mary. I really needed that motivation"
"Hey!!  Best friend" Raine yelled walking through the door
"Good morning to you too best friend" I said chuckling lightly.
"Hope you're prepared.. I need you to drop me off at the studio" She said, stealing a bite from my sandwich.
"One, never steal my food again. Two, what's wrong with your car?"
"Its faulty again. And I told you to give me your black Porsche" She grumbled
"I can't give you my Porsche.. I've offered you an Acura TSX" I said grabbing my bag from the stool nearby.
"You didn't"Raine grumbled coming after me
"Well, I just did. You can pick it up after work today I wouldn't mind" I said getting into my Volkswagen Golf GTI.
"You're the best. Don't tell Noah" She said getting into the car with me.

The drive to Raine's studio took about half an hour  giving me about twenty minutes to get to work if I don't wanna be late.
"Have a nice first day at work Cam. I love you" Raine said getting down from the car
"Thanks a lot Ray. Tell Noah I'll give him a call during my lunch break" I said
"Will do.. Bye" Raine yelled as I drove off.

I got to work seven minutes to eight and I was actually glad I wasn't late. I parked my car in the employees parking lot and made my way to the office.
"Good morning Ms West. Looking good this morning" Chantel commented as I walked into the building.
"Good Morning Chantel. You don't bad yourself" I said smiling.
"Your office is on the sixth floor. There shouldn't be any issue locating it"
"Thanks a lot Chantel. Have a nice day" I said making my way to the elevator.
This shouldn't be so bad. I told myself as I settled down in my office. The office tour was scheduled to ten in the morning, so I  decided to get to work before then.

"Sorry I'm a little late for the office tour. I lost track of time" I said smiling shyly since I was ten minutes late for the office tour.
"Its okay, we kind of just started anyways" A guy beside me said.
"Oh right, Thanks" I said glad that I didn't mess things up on my first day.
"Aaron Smith. Marketing department" He brought out his hand for a shake
"Camila West. Advertising department" I replied shaking his hand, smiling warmly.
"Nice meeting you Ms West. I hope to see you around"
"Call me Camila. I also hope to see you around" I said walking towards the rest of the workers.

The office tour went well. And I met a lot of new co workers. All floors are open except the top floor which belongs to the CEO and his personal assistant and that's kind of understandable.
I really loved my job and I'm glad I got the position. I made a few trips to other floors while I was working. It was finally my lunch break but I needed to round up the particular assignment I was given.
"Aren't you heading to the cafeteria for lunch" I heard a voice call from behind me.
"Hi, I am in about a minute" I replied to the lady who looks like she was waiting for me.
I was done in a minute, grabbed my phone and joined the lady whose name I still don't know.

"I'm sorry but I don't know your name" I said voicing my thoughts.
"Oh sorry. Mind my manners. Emely Clark" she said smiling at me
"Its okay. I'm Camila West"
"I know you. Everyone does actually"
Her statement left me completely confused but I chose to ignore it anyways.
Emely walked with me to the cafeteria and since I'm new and all I decided to join Aaron on his table
"Hi guys" I greeted as I approached the table with my tray. "Can I sit here?" I asked politely.
"Yeah sure. No problem" Aaron said.
"I'm Camila West" I said introducing myself to the other members of the table.
"We know you. The Camila West" A guy commented from the other edge of the table.

It was getting disturbing how everyone was referring to me as "The Camila West". Its not like I did anything out of the ordinary. I really hoped I didn't mess things up unconsciously.
"Don't look so terrified. You didn't do anything wrong" Another guy said
"My name is Jason and that guy over there is Gray. We hope we find favor in the presence of your parents" he commented smiling at me.
Then it finally clicked. People already recognized me as the sole heir to the West Kingdom. I really didn't know what to say so I just offered them a smile.
"You guys are making her feel awkward. Drop the matter" Aaron said
I said a quick thank you to him with my eyes hoping he got the message and from the smile he returned. I'm guessing he understood.

Thankfully, no one said anything about my parents again.
I almost forgot my promise to call Noah so I did just that while on my way out of the cafeteria.
"Noah, I'm sorry I'm calling late" I said into the phone.
"No problem best friend. I just guessed you were too busy settling down in your new job"
"You don't know how happy I feel right now Noah. I'm really glad" I replied
"I know you are. I am also happy for you. Raine came here for lunch with some model"
"Yeah, she told me they just started dating a few weeks ago"
"Do you think this relationship would last long?" He asked
"I don't know. But we can't cross our fingers on this guy" I said
"Ok, I'll let you go back to work now. I'll see you tonight"
"Why tonight?" I asked walking into my office
"Raine said dinner at my restaurant for three of us is on her."
"What's the celebration?"
"Well have to find out tonight. Bye then"
"Alright, bye" I said and hung up

Getting back to work wasn't as difficult as I suspected.
I made sure to leave work early enough to not miss Raine's dinner.
"Hope i'm not late" I said walking into the restaurant.
"No you're not. Noah's busy with his customers he'll be back in a few"
"Right. How was your day?"
"Nice. What about yours?"
"Wonderful. I made a lot of friends and work wasn't so hard"
"I knew you'd make me proud" Noah said sitting with us on the table.
I smiled at the two of them, happy that I had the two best people in the world by my side at every point in life.

I sent a quick text to Mary telling her to not make dinner for me since I already ate at Noah's.
I got home a little later than I anticipated since the traffic was really heavy.
"Welcome honey. How was work?" Mary asked collecting my bag from me.
"Thanks Mary. Work went well. Why stay up for me?"
"I couldn't go to bed without seeing you get back from your first day" She replied.
I smiled in admiration.
"Goodnight Mary. I'll see you tomorrow" I said dragging my tired self to my room.

Well, I can proudly say today went well. I mean, new job, nice place of work, awesome co workers, fresh happiness.
I'm just glad I'm an independent woman already and nothing's going to stop me from being the girl I've always dreamed of.
I changed to my pajamas, updated my latest task from work before I finally closed my eyes to sleep. I just hope tomorrow and the days after hold better things than today.
