The whole week was awesome to say the least. Mr Weston came in a few days but was absent some other days.
The office was up in a frenzy by Friday because Saturday was the inauguration for Weston Jnr. Everyone was nervous since the administration would be different from the past. I was calm and collected since the preparation didn't really affect the advertising department."Camila, how are you doing?" Aaron said as I was preparing to go home Friday night
"I'm good thank you. What about you?"
"I'm great. Would you like to be my date to the inauguration ceremony tomorrow night?" He asked.I'm really not sure about this. Aaron is a good person, great to work with but some how I think he wants something between us and I'm not ready for that. Plus, its also against the office rules that co workers shouldn't be involved in a romantic relationship.
"Yes, sure." I replied nonetheless
"Great. What's going to be the color of your gown?"
"Red..Is that fine by you?"
"Yeah. Red is not a problem"
"I'll pick you up by 7pm then"
"I'll text you my address" I said walking towards my car.I can hear Raine's voice in my head yelling "you go girl!!". I can just hope Aaron doesn't get the wrong message and think I like him cause I don't. Don't misquote me, he's a nice guy and all but I just don't see our ship sailing. If he makes a move tomorrow, I'd just have to set things straight hoping things don't become awkward later on.

Saturday afternoon I made a quick stop to the boutique downtown for a red gown. I've grown tired of the ones I have.Around 5 in the evening I called Raine over to help me with my hair and make up since I wasn't an expert in that aspect.
"You still haven't told me the occasion" Raine said
"Weston Jr's inauguration.. I've mentioned it before" I replied
"So there'll be a bunch of hot guy then?"
"You have a boyfriend Raine"I half yelled
"He's out of town"
"Do you love him?"
"I don't know Cam. I want us to last longer, I enjoy the time I spend with him and all."
"As long as he makes you happy.. No problem" I said.
"Thanks Cam." She said doing the finishing touches to my hair.
"So who's your date?"
"Aaron. He works at the Marketing department"
"He seems like a nice guy"
"He is. I'm just not interested in him"
"Even if he was a President's son Cam, you'd still be uninterested" she said chuckling.
"You know me well"Somewhere during the evening Noah joined us and we talked about our day, and everything else in between.
And did I mention Noah's already dating Alex. The guy from the bar.
I'm just glad my best friends are in relationships and they're happy. That's all that really matters to me.At quarter to seven I decided to get my dress on.
My gown was an ankle length strapless red gown, with a slit running from mid thighs down. Raine said she loved the dress because it brought out my curves in the right angle and I really hoped she was right.
At seven pm sharp, Aaron rang the doorbell.
"A rose for my date" he said handing me a red rose as I opened the door for him
"Thanks Aaron" I smiled softly at him. Sticking the rose somewhere in the fancy nun Raine made hoping I didn't ruin it.
"You look stunning" He said helping me into his car.
The ride to the mall was rather silent but it wasn't awkward. It was a comfortable one with the melodious voice of Adele coming from the radio. We arrived there and Aaron handed his keys to a valet while I interlocked our arms together.
The place was packed which was expected since its the inauguration of "The Only Weston Heir". But what shocked me more was the fact that I was the only one dressed in red. In a hall full of people wearing yellow. To say I was embarrassed was an understatement, I couldn't believe it was really happening.Everyone turned their attention to the weird looking blonde dressed in red.
"Didn't you get the color code?" Chantel asked me
"I didn't. I'm sorry I could go change or something" I said wanting to just crawl into a dark hole and die.
"Its not a problem. Let's just hope people don't make an issue out of it" she said "Red really suits you by the way" she commented giving me a smile. In a second everyone forgot about me violating the color code and went back to mingling for which I was extremely thankful .

The night was great. People actually commented on how my dress looked and all. But some still gave me disapproving looks. I didn't let that get to me anyways.Aaron was being a sweet date and that made me enjoy the ceremony better. Somewhere along the line, I excused myself to the bath room.
"Did you see Camila West looking all bossy in her red dress?" A voice said
"She actually rocked the gown" another replied
They weren't familiar voices so I guessed they didn't work with me
"She obviously broke the color code to make her self look significant" the first voice said
To be honest their words kind of stung but I sat still on the toilet sit listening to what they said.
"I know right. Didn't you see how all the male looked at her like she was snack"
"That sly little slut. Who does she think she is?"
"I heard she works for Mason Weston?"
"OMG. Why?! Is her father's company going bankrupt or what?"
"I doubt it. Maybe she just wants to sell what's left of her dignity at the Weston Empire"
At that they both giggled. Don't this people have anything better to do than gossip about other people.I walked out of the toilet and walked towards the mirror to adjust my make up and wash my hands. You had to see the look on their faces, it was priceless. I didn't spare any one of them a glance as I walked out but I recognized one as Maria Luisa a top model.
"Oh, next time you want to gossip about someone. Make sure they don't hear every single bit of it since all you do is talk rubbish. Not like anyone of you haven't slept with half the population of men in the hall" I said and walked away.Next time they're messing with someone, it shouldn't be me.
