Let's Go

"10 minutes out!" Bruce shouted as tony and Thor unbuckled their seat belts. The flight was rough, really rough, they had to get there fast so it was a really bumpy ride.

"Find a dry landing point, scan the area for nat, Clint..." tony took a deep breath, "and steve. Now."

"I'm on it." Bruce reported.

Thor walked up to tony, noticing his worry and rested his hand on his shoulder, "we will find them."

Tony nodded nervously and moved away, "J, any signals from their comms?"

"None sir, I believe all signals have been cut off due to damage but it's hard to tell."

"Guys." Bruce shouted from the cockpit, "take a look at this...." they all walked to the window and looked down in horror at the destroyed city.

"They survived. They must have, they're strong." Thor said hopefully but was brought down by tony.

"Well these things have killed hundreds before..." tony mumbled, "and thus far, this is the biggest one ever recorded in history. They destroy cities, knock over buildings... they could be anywhere."

Coughing up lung full after lung full of water, the pain in her side erupted violently with consciousness. She kept on coughing and rolled onto her side. She'd washed up onto the top of a large rock, she scooted up to the top, but she was still mostly in the water.

She winced when she moved her shoulder, "well shit...." she put her hand up to her ear, "guys... come in. Do any of you copy?" All that was returned was static. "Does anybody read me?" Nothing.

She could hear screams nearby and scanned her surroundings, it was all rubble until she spotted a young child trying to stay afloat, so she hopped back into the current, ignoring the burning pain all throughout her body and swam towards the little girl, "I'm coming!" She shouted.

She grabbed the girl and lifted her up onto a door floating by and held onto the edge. She laughed when she realized the similarity to a movie, "I doubt Rogers would get this reference..." she mumbled.

Clint never let go of that sign. He was so tired, and his body ached but he knew that if he were to let go, he couldn't stay above water, not with his leg. Piles of rubbles smashed into him and there were times that he almost let go, but he kept fighting.

He stayed there for hours, he was cold, too tired, and in so much pain. So when he heard a jet getting closer he looked up and saw that it was one of SHIELDs. "Oh thank god" he mumbled and started waving to the jet knowing we'll that it was very likely that they don't see him, but he had to try.

It flew straight above him and hovered not too far from where he was, "hey!!" He shouted and continued to wave. The hatch opened and he could see tony in his suit standing by with Thor behind him, "tony! Thor!" He shouted as he tried regrouping his other hand to lift himself higher, but he was weak and he slipped.

He kicked with his good leg to try to stay afloat but the current was keeping him under. His lungs burned for air and could tell his consciousness slipping until a metal hand pulled him back up.

He gasped for air as soon as he made it to the surface, "forget how to swim, Barton?" He started lifting him out of the water.

He let out a scream when tony shifted him into his arms, "my leg..." he squealed.

"J" tony said.

"Mr. Barton's femur is broken along with multiple more non life-threatening injuries."

"Okay lets get you back to the ship." Clint looked at him and nodded, "this is gonna hurt" Clint nodded and gripped onto tony suit. He cradled him in his arms as he let out a gut wrenching scream.

They got back to the ship and Bruce immediately started tending to his injuries, "where's Nat and Steve?"

Clint shook his head, "I don't know... we-" a shiver racked through his body and Thor threw a blanket over his shoulders while Bruce began splinting his leg, "we were separated when the wave hit" he looked at tony, "we lost steves Signal first"

Tonys heart skipped a beat and he backed up. "J-Jarvis, anything on the others?" He stuttered, fighting back tears.

"Nothing sir"

"D-dammit" he exhaled and hit the wall. He took a drop breath and pushed Thor's hand off his shoulder, "o-okay, Banner you stay here with Barton and man the ship. Thor, you and I are gonna go around and find them ourselves. Bring any civilians you find in trouble to safe land." Thor nodded and so did Bruce. "Let's Go."
