Location-marking Particles (에/에서)
에 and 에서 means “at,” “in,” “on", in English
-에 Place particle

1. Place (existence) : -에 often with 있어요/없어요 it means something/someone is at/on/in a place.
➡저는 집에 있어요
I’m at home
➡저는 차 안에 있어요
I’m in the car
➡저는 공원에 있어요

에- ginagamit din sa mga preposition like
안, 아래, 위, 뒤, 앞, 옆...
1. the lion is behind the tree. 사자가 나무 뒤에 있어요.
2. there is a tree behind the lion. 사자 뒤에 나무가 있어요.
2. Place (destination) : -에 often with 가요(go)/와요(come)/다녀요(attend), it indicates a destination.
저는 지금 집에 가요. I am going home.
화장실에 가요. I am going to the restroom.
어디에 가요? Where are you going?
KC 씨가 도서관에 가요. KC is going to the library.
언제 한국에 와요? When are you coming to Korea?
-에서 Place particle
에서 expresses a location where some action is taking place.
This has to be used with action verbs.
집에서 텔레비전을 봐요.
I am watching TV at home.
학교에서 공부해요.
I am studying at school.
회사에서 일해요.
I am working at my company.

That person lives in L.A.
