Hunter Chase POV

 One week later... 

'What are you saying Hunter?' 

A week had pass since the encounter with the rogues and bitten vamps, everything is back to normal. I'm currently in my fathers office in the pack territory. Now that I found my mate my father think that its time for me to step up as the next Red Sky pack Alpha. This is the time and moment that I've been waiting for...I've been waiting for this.

 'Give some reasonable excuse why you're rejecting the Alpha position.' he said

Rejecting the Alpha position.... Yes, I'm planning in doing that and right now I'm doing it even though I've been waiting for this to come and now I'm flatly rejecting it. Maybe if it where in the past I would definitely take the title but now everything changes.

'I don't think I have any reasonable reason right now...' I said and father gave me a incredulous look, not believing in what I'm saying. 'Right now something is more important to me than having the Alpha title.' I said

'What so important that your flatly rejecting the title? You know how important this is right?!' he said and sound frustrated. 'This is not just about you Hunter but all the pack members.'

I understand what he meant...That is why I'm rejecting the title because if I become the alpha I'll be responsible for them... If it was me months ago who didn't find his mate I'll gladly accept it but right now...Its different.

'I know its important but right now theirs more important to me than handling the pack.'  I said

Father let out a frustrated sigh....looks like he didn't like my answer.. 'Tell me.. Be reasonable son and tell me or else-'

'At this moment I can't... but someday I will so please just accept my reason right now father.' I pleaded.

He sighed and look at me with a studying eyes... He sighed again, 'For now I will accept your reason... But I will not accept you rejecting the Alpha title.. I'll give you time and postpone passing the title to you.'  

 'But-' 

'My decision is final Hunter..Take it or-'

'Okay...' I said and bid my goodbye to him

While walking away from the pack to head towards Summers house; thinking about the decision I made but my mind is more filled with the thoughts of what Malcom said.

'Experimentation...thats what the Organization are doing isn't it?!'

Thats what the organization do.

 'The O-organization... look.... p-peo...ple l-like........ you .......  who's d-diffe...rent.....

The Organization looks for people who's like' who's different. Somehow this bother me its like its gonna bite me in the ass without any warning. 

Trents vision too of Summer and I 'Take care of her...because the vision that I saw is something drastic and might end up tragic.' 

Might end up tragic?

All this thing is making me frustrated and making dizzy I should just stop thinking about it....for now.

With all the thoughts in my mind I didn't notice that I was already in front of Summers house.

Ahh....I remembered something.

' Who cares about what they think...as long as we have each other everything will be fine, even if we encounter problems that are too impossible even if their opinion about you or to us is different I wouldn't care.' I said, then hug her.

 Damn, that was embarrassing. Did I really say those words? I didn't even know I was capable on saying those kind of words?

' As long as I have you'    Ahh..I forgot about that too...   'So don't leave me.'   And that.!

I felt like an emotional chick... What makes me say those anyway? When I saw Summer winning the fight I was happy but as I saw her expression it really makes me sad and heartbreak.

'Soon you're going to realize that things don't end well for everyone. Some of us are broken and there's nothing you can do to fix it.' she pause and look at the sky 'Someone once said this to me.  ' she said but mostly to herself .

'For her to remember something like that--'

'Hunter!!!' I heard Summers voice as she opened the door. 

Those words must have leave a big impact to her. I thought.

'What are you saying??' She ask

'Nothing.' I said and she gave me a look... 'Liar...' she said

'Nothing really. I was just thinking about the wolves that died in this incident and about what my father and I talked about awhile ago.' I said.. Its the truth, partially. 

'At least they died protecting the pack...' she said 'Life will always be sacrifice to attain what we have now, their life is not wasted.' she added and tilt her head to the side while looking at me. This past few days...her expression is getting softer. Well, if you don't know her you'll actually believe her expression is genuine but as I spend my time with her I'm seeing a little at her façade that she have... It's a faint soft expression but I still see it and notice it. 

I leaned closer to her and move my face closer to her and was planning to kiss her.... Caught in a moment like this, remembering our first kiss.

*punch*

'Guh!? A-again?!' I said in pain. This always happen this pass week everytime I try to kiss her I always ended up being punch by her in the gut. 

'Sorry, its becoming a habit.' she said a little shy but she still grin at me.

I failed to suppressed  myself to laugh and let out a chuckle. 'Pffft.Hahaha,.. ' I shake my head at her. 'It's okay.' I said to her which is true... 'I promise to you that we will take this slow.' I said and I started to enter the house. 'But I'm counting the times you punch me and it will be collected and exchange it to a kiss....Let's see how many times did you punch m-' I said counting but I didn't finish what I was about say because a soft lips was press into my lips for a second.

After that Summer ran inside the house saying 'Deduct that okay...?!' she said

This time a smile spread in my lips...
