Chapter 16

Hunter Chase POV

We've been watching Trent for the past two weeks....A two weeks where theirs no attack on the town, no suspicious person also... Except maybe for the three transfer student... I told my father what we had learned and he promised not to tell anyone, he knows what could happen if the towns council learned about Trent. They would take him for sure and...maybe exchange him for the attack to be avoided.

But somethings bothering me, when I told him about Trent theirs a nagging feeling that I felt as if his not telling me something; I think his keeping a secret from me.

I was a cautious for a two weeks... observing my surrounding, not just my brother but everyone. Theirs been no attack and it supposed to be a good thing but I think something bad gonna happen or maybe worst.

'Trent, be honest with me. What's wrong with you? You've been acting weird.' I ask, I followed him by myself in the library. For the past weeks he'd been acting weird, not really weird but theirs something amidst. His always in daze...as if something is bothering him. I'm getting worried and anxious for my brother. 

He remained quite....still in deep thought. I snap my finger at his face and that got his attention. 'W-what is it?' he ask

I sighed.

'What's wrong? You've been acting weird.' I repeat

'It's nothing...' then returned reading his book. 'Why don't  you go and look for your mate, you've been avoiding each other for the past weeks.' he told me.

Yes...We've been- no, I'm the one who has been avoiding her It just....It just scare me sometime, her emotions...It's like it's limited I still don't know anything about her that much so I really can't judge her but of course it's not just about that..The truth is...I'm scared. It feels like I'm gonna lose her without knowing or time will come..she will leave me behind.



I don't know where this thought came from....

I made my way out of the library to look for Summer...I don't know if she notice that I was avoiding her...Since she always tried to talk to me in the first week and I always answered her very shortly or I always find a way to make up excuses. Then second week came, she still talks to me but it became rare..., I miss how she nagged at me.

In the hallway I walked pass through the twin pureblood and the half, the publood girl was smirking at me and i just ignored it. For sure they're trying to piss me off just like the last time. Yep, when I say last time it was the first week of friday when we decided to watch Trent. Remembering it still annoys me and regret some of what I said. 

I'm still wary of them, they could be the one behind those bitten vamps attack and for those rogue wolves.....Ah, I don't know.

I remembered what happen again..

*flashback*

'Dog.' the pureblood girl said which made me snap my head to her direction where she's with her group.

'We heard that Summer Xavier is your mate?' the half blood said

'I thought it was a rumour' the pureblood girl said 'Either way, mate or not I find it pretty funny and hilarious for a wolf to have a mate as a vampire...and to top it all she's a pureblood.' she said
