"King!"

My yell pauses the bickering, and as I take limping steps towards the floating boy with brown hair, he floats to me, catching me before I can fall.

"Whaddya know? It is King!" Meli shouts, hurrying over as he takes me by the waist, giving King a nod of thanks.

"King?" A giantess's voice interrupts Ban's protests of this being a fake king, causing the boy in front of me to blush and look up at his long lost lover. Well... more like crush. Both of them never have had the guts to admit they like each other, so as a child, I often took it into my own hands.

~Flashback~

A shrunken giant, a timid floating fairy, and a blonde captain all sit in front of a young girl with hands on her hips.

"Just admit it." She said, her already child voice pitched even higher than before, staring down the two in front of them.

"Rosie? Why did I have to be here." The blonde asks, confusion surrounding his entire being, awkwardly sitting in the middle of the two. He receives a look, to which in response he stands up, sighing. Lifting the small girl into his arms, he gives the two a stare. "Listen guys. We have a big mission tomorrow, and we'll be gone for awhile. Meaning Rosie here, is already upset. Don't make tosay worse for me." Being only ten in the morning, he was imagining a rough day.

"There isn't anything to admit." The shrunken girl speaks, hiding the obvious blush with her pigtails.

"Diane and I are just friends, Rosa." The boy mutters, starinf at the ground in front of him as if it was showing him the future. The small girl huffs.

"King, Diane. I don't believe you." Rosie, the strawberry haired girl says, confidence ringing in her tone.

"Well then, Rosa. Anything you wanna explain to us about the Captain? Maybe a little crush?" Diane teased, causing the girl to become the same shade as the flower bearing her nickname, while the rest of her paled. Meli chuckles, a smile lighting up his face, as the door to the courtyard opens, welcoming in the three misfits looking for training, with the infamous Ban trailing behind them whistling.

"No!" Rosie blurts out, her face and tone covered in embarrassment, but hurt for the betrayal from Diane coats her eyes. She could almost feel the tears of frustration coming, but as a newly turned six year old she bit them back well.

"Well if you did have a crush on me Rosie, know that you're the only girl for me!" Meli says, teasing and telling secret truths all at once. He hugged the girl tight as the three boys arrived in front of them, begging for practice time before they left.

~Flashback Over~

He doesnt say anything at first, just looks at us. I could feel the hate he has for Ban, the love for Diane, and the feeling of happiness about seeing Meli and I. But he first says, "what are you guys doing here?"

"Looking for you of course, silly!" Diane says, reaching out to pull King in for a cheek-hug. He blushes like mad, and i could only imagine my face around Meli.

I sneak a peak, seeing his eyes watching me from their corners, an unreadable feeling locked deep inside of them. Stupid magical limits, I just want to know before it disappears.

"You must be, Sir King!" Elizabeth shouts, courtesying slightly. He gasps, looking at the familiar earring hanging from her.

He then changes into the familiar King we all have known. "Captain! Why didn't you tell me we are in the presence of royalty?!"

Bewilderment overtakes me, right as feelings begin to rush from those around me without my hard focus, my magic being restored double time. King is determined, Ban confused and amused, Diane's crushing feeling of love for King weighing me down more, Elizabeth filled with embarrassment, Hawk is hungry like always. And Meliodas...

Meli is filled with happiness, and every time he looks at me, there is something more. 'It must be because I'm his best friend...'

"What am I?" I ask, pouting lightly, as Meli chuckles at my expression, kissing my forehead quickly before anyone can see. But of course, the blood rushes to the top of my skin, giving everything away.

King bows to Elizabeth, asking for forgiveness for not groveling sooner. I roll my eyes at the formalities, realizing I never did like it when people did that to me. "The pleasure to meet you is all mine, Sir King."

Meli lifts me as they talk, spinning me in a small circle. I giggle, noticing Ban's mischievous eyes set on us. As Meli stops, his face is gentle, a soft smile spread over his lips. "Ban is watching." I whisper, his eyes shooting over to see a pleased looking Ban, eyes still glinting.

"Whoops." Meli chuckles, holding me tighter to his chest, walking away towards a field of pink flowers. The gang follows, now noticing us walking in this direction.

"The kids mentioned think of memories with the dead. So I guess if we just do that walking around the town, we should find it." Ban says, King floating near him in suspicion.

"We found King. What do we need to go to the Necropolis for?" Hawk says, walking at Elizabeth's side.

"For adventure, of course!" Diane says, squinting her eyes as she smiles. Hawk mutters something about the irony of our adventure needing smaller ones inside of it, causing Elizabeth and I to giggle. Meli smiles, watching my face as he walks, and i could feel the blush creeping back up to my cheeks through my bloodstream.

Suddenly the flowers begin to float around us. Meli pulls me tighter, staring at the flower petals in wonder, unsure of what is happening. I hold his neck tighter, with what energy I had. He places me on my feet, wrapping his arms around my midsection.

And suddenly, the world around us changed. The world was made up of green crystals, with a slight blueish hue, and there was nothing but that for miles. I looked around, relaxing into the new world, realizing at one where we were. The feeling of cold, dread, loss, and grievance taking hold of my bones.

"The Necropolis." I whisper, staring out in the world of wonder.

I could feel each presence around me, but couldnt even beging to explain any of the lost souls around me. Until a speckle of bright dust floats nearby, as if running away from us, it begins to move quickly. But not without Ban. With a whisper, I feel him rush by us, and I know who it is all to well. King, unaware of who it is, only that Ban can't be trusted by him right now, races after him.

"Hey!" Diance screeches, surprising even Hawk.

"Sir King, Sir Ban! Where are you going?!"

"Ban! King! Come back!" I try, to no avail, as they are already gone. "She could be an illusion." Meli looks at me questions rising around him. I shake my head, it was not the time. We could talk about it later.

"What do we do now?" Hawk says, and Meli ponders for a moment.

"Well, I guess we run after them." Meli says, lifting me up and beginning to run. Hawk manages to trip Elizabeth into falling on his back as he sprints after us, Diane trotting behind us.

After a while, we feel no closer yet no further away from out two lost friends.
