A/N - sorry updates haven't been more frequent. My schedule has been crazy and I have like 3 other stories in the process. Check 'em out! In the meantime though....

The crowd ran for the hills just in time for the battle to start. Hawk running away with Elizabeth, I take off with Meli. We are fighting Helbram, an awful man who once had killed several fairies, yet now... he was a fairy disguised as a man, planning for the downfall of Brittania. We take several hits, causing in us to be rendered unconscious while King takes the battle over.

~flashback~

Fireworks erupted through the sky as she ran through the halls of the castle, searching for her very own protector. He was supposed to be here two hours ago, and the almost six year old was determined to see him.

"Meli!" She yelled, nearing the grandmasters headquarters. She could hear voices nearby, and her footsteps quicken as she recognizes the emotions coming off of them. Their power. She rounds the corner, seeing them in armour, and finally, she hears the chanting townspeople outside. Yelling about hoe they aren't good people. Tears form on her face as they begin talking to each other.

"I have to go get Rosie." Meliodas goes to turn to where she is already standing, but Merlin stops him, his blonde hair dropping as if the strands were connected to his shoulders that had already dropped.

"You can't take Rosie this time, Captain." Merlin says, her armour hiding her form. Ban had a sad look on his face, and he notices her standing there, breaking away from the crowd, he kneels in front of her.

"Where are you going, Ban?" Her small voice quivers as she looks at the spiked hair of her friend, before looking back at the boy who knew her best.

"Roza, we have to take some time away from the castle."

"Im coming too." Rosie nods eagerly.

"No, Roza. The people here, they think we did something bad. They think the sins are bad." A delicate eyebrow raises as her eyes lock on the blonde, finding tears brimming his eyes. She reaches out, pushing joy towards him, but it doesn't stop his tears.

"Oh, my Rosie." He says, walking over to the young girl, a sad smile on his face.

"Dont leave. I can just hide you in my room. I'll-"

"Rosie, we will meet again one day." He says, his voice tight. He folds her into her arms, holding her close. She locks her arms around his neck, holding onto him as if her life depended on it. Pushing her back slightly, they both examine each other, and he catches her tears on his finger. "This isnt goodbye. Its see you later." He presses his lips to her forehead, breathing in the smell of her shampoo, leaving them there for exactly five seconds before pulling away from the statue of the girl.

"Meliodas?" She calls as he begins to run, his footsteps broken. "Meli!" The sound of her despair causes his steps to falter slightly, but he pushes on.

"Melida!"

~flashback over~

Awakening at the sound of my sisters' voices, I sit bolt upright, searching for Meliodas's blonde hair, but not finding him anywhere. Instead, a small hut is near us, nothing like where we were before.

"Where's Meli?" I ask, my tone dark as I look at the holy knight in front of me. Griamore stands behind the purple headed girl, shopped short. Her tom-boyish style had inspired me long ago, but it seemed as if she was against us right now.

"Veronica?" I ask, noticing the purple gem in her hand, feeling an odd power floating off of it. I shiver. I look around again, as Elizabeth - now back to regular size- shrinks down to me.

"Veronica trapped her in that stone." My eyes widen, and I move before thinking, snatching the gem out of her hands, staring into it for some kind of glimpse of him. My breathing and heart rate were still high, and I was unable to calm myself down. Without him, my powers ran rampant, being as I am unable to control my full power.

I turn my eyes to her, a panicked look setting in, as Eli stands by my side. "Let him out." My voice is firm yet it shakes. I sit waiting for my sister to respond but she just laughs.

"Draifus was right! He brainwashed you. That gem can only carry evil things." I blanch for words, troubled by the mention of grandmaster Draifus. Soon, Eli and I are trapped inside Griamore's safety bubble, as Hawk attempts to kick us out of it.

I see Ban holding my sister as hostage, and tears begin to flow down my face. I clutch the stone close to me as Griamore loses his cool, and tumble to the ground. "Melida. Please. Help us."

My eyes move to the destruction, to Ban fighting several people yet I knew his motives. He had to protect me for his best friend. I clutch the stone hard to my chest, pleading to something more powerful, to release him.

A light blinds my eyes, but soon, standing in front of me is a version of Meli I had never seen nor imagined. Purple laces his arms and torso, and his face was blank, his mouth forming a silent 'o'.

"Meli?" I ask, touching his shoulder, as Griamore attempts to trap him again. His normally boyish features don't change as he swipes at the strong, young adult with an arm similar to a wing.

"Roza. Come with us. We have to get away from here." Ban pleads at me, his arms already around Hawk and Elizabeth, but I firmly set my hand on his marks with curiosity.

Emotions of his hit me like a truck, and I shiver slightly from the way they differ.

Anger. Confusion. Pain. Sadness. Triumph. Protectiveness. Worry.

And love.

Even as his new form looks at me, I could no longer deny the feelings that had raged in me for so long. I was and forever will be...

In love with Meliodas.

I grin slightly, and he tilts his head in confusion.

"Melida."
