Part 11//Hiding away

Thx for reading, I'm going to time jump to the half-blood price era because there's nothing really interesting that can happen in the 5th year. I'm kinda bored of writing astronomy tower scenes so this is gonna be the last one for a while

We spent the rest of the year not even looking at each other, I was almost like we couldn't bare to see the truth. Me and Harry are still in a relationship which I'd going strong. We spent the whole summer together so we had lots of time to get close. I just started classes for my 6th year at Hogwarts and I have tones of new friends, maybe this will finally be my year and I'll get a change to make all the right choices. Maybe I could even reconnect with Malfoy, I missed being his friend.

It was later in the evening and everyone was relaxing in the Gryfindoor common room, it was a cold night so the fire was lit. Harry, Ron, Hermione and I where all sitting on some couches in the middle of room in silence. "How do you all feel about the new potions professor,Professor Slughorn?" Ron asked trying to start up conversation. "He seems to really like Harry." I said as I saw Hermione rolled her eyes. "He is only top of the class because of the stupid book." Harry didn't even hear hear her as he was to caught up in that potions book. "I'd like to know who that book belonged too, let's have a look shall we?" She said trying to stanch it out of his hands.

He quickly shot up and held the book tightly as if he was protecting it with his life. "No! The binding is fragile." He was almost in fear as he backed up"the binding is fragile?" She scoffed and kept walking towards him. Ginny snatched the book from behind his back. "Who's the half-blood prince?" It says this book is property of the Half-blood prince." She tossed the book back to him and he ignored the question completely as he went back to reading it. "That was odd." I exclaimed and everyone nodded.

The next morning I was walking to Herbology class until I noticed a weird dark figure lurking in the shadows. I was curious so I followed it only to reveal Malfoy in an all black suit looking flustered. "Malfoy? Is that you?" I called out into the hall. I started to walk down further until I felt a familiar hand grab the sleeve of my robe and pull me into a random broom closet. "What are you doing?" I asked in confusion. He placed his finger on my lips "shhhhh." He said in a scared voice. We stated to hear footsteps coming down the hall but we just waited in silence. The footsteps faded away and his finger was still pressed against my lips as the air went completely silent. "What was that about?" I whispered. "Nothing." He aid in a shaky voice. I'm about to walk back out until he grabs my hand and stops me from leaving. "(y/n) wait." He says in a hopeful voice. "What do you mean we haven't spoken all year and know you want to have a quick chat in a broom closet?" I said in a sarcastic tone.

He looks upset and he wasn't acting like is usual cocky self. "Well I've missed you, and um- I" his voice sounds very innocent and honest. "Oh just shut up already" I said with a smile right before pulling him into a kiss. He presses me against the wall slamming our lip together. I've missed this, I've missed him. "I'm done staying away from you." He whispered while continuing to kissing me more passionately. "Let's meet up in the astronomy tower, midnight." I suggested. He pulled himself away from me and smiled "perfect." I smiled back and quickly rushed out of the closet filled with joy.

Once at herbology I again spent the whole class think about tonight, I could wait to see his face. I barley payed attention to professor Sprout was saying. Hermione noticed that I was acting weird and she immediately confused. "You're looking cheerful today (y/n)." she said raising one of her eyebrows. "Oh nothing I'm just in a good mood." I said trying to hid my grin. "Alright then." She said still suspecting something was up.

That night was just like any other time we've meet, except for the fact that this time I decided to put more effort into my appearance. I put on a bit of makeup and curled my hair before running down the halls as quickly and quietly as I could. I hadn't even change out of my uniform yet.

I opened the door the large wooden doors and started to climbed up the stairs. I walked into the room a saw a picnic blanket spread put along the floor with candles set up all around. I was immediately Mesmerized, I couldn't believe Draco had done all this for me. I was taken by surprise as felt his cold hands wrap around my waist from behind. He spins me around to face him "Surprise! Do you like it?" He questioned with hope. "Do I like it? I love it, it's amazing!" I said in excitement as I pulled him into a tight hug.

He lead me towards the blanket on the floor. "This is actually amazing Draco." I said as we sat down next to each other. "I'm glad you like it." He blushed. "You're really trying hard to steal me away from potter eh?" I teased him slightly nudging his shoulder. "Am I considered competition?" He smirked. "Oh shut up Malfoy" I laughed right before playfully wrestling him to the ground.
