"Evoke to me anew, why should I go there?" Nanami asked for the umpteenth time, disturbed amidst the notion that he had to deal with his students on his day off.

"C'mon Nanami! You are comin' with me!" His silver-haired friend replied with an overly excited voice. He continued with an indicative smirk knowing the offer he was going to present, will surely make his tired fellow sorcerer responsive. "Plus _______ is also coming to the festival."

His annoyed eyes widened with recognition and the thought of meeting you at the festival again. It had been over a week since you two had last met. Nodding his head affirmatively he turned his face away.

His friend sighed with the victory. Reminiscing about giving his friend a piece of advice about the attire, he started again, "What are you going to wear? Can we match?"

"Now, you may get out."

---

"Your sleeves are not fixed properly, Gojo," Nanami grumbles, fiddling with the sleeves of his jet black yukata covering his body. His hair free from the hair gel. About half of the people were donning monochrome yukata, whereas some had opted for bright, colorful designs as suited their taste.

"AAA this is supposed to be a comfortable attire." Fixing the sleeves of the matching black yukata which he was matching with the first-grade sorcerer, Gojou continued, "Stupid festival. Having to dress up and meet the stupid higher-ups."

Possibly for once, he agreed with the annoying man about the festival stuff. If he had to be honest, Nanami had no intention of attending it, but the thought of meeting you made him chose you over his day off.

He caught snippets of conversations between Nobara and Yuji chattering about the variety of food they'll eat at the festival garb. Rolling his eyes he decided to ignore the adventurous pair and decided to warn his students before leaving them to find a perfect place to sleep at.

"Okay. You all, don't make a mess and don't kill someone here. Especially you Gojo."

"Yes, sir!"

" I AM ACCOMPANYING YOU NANAMI"

"Nanamin can I come with you?''

''no.."

Yuji and Nobara lead the uninterested male down the aisles of crowded stalls to the main stall where the whole class congregates. Like honey and tea, the two groups mix until everyone is admixing happily, with smaller groups slowly splitting off to explore the different attractions.

The atmosphere was itself enchanting, and even Nanami himself couldn't help but get caught up in all of it.

Tugging his sleeves, he makes his way through the crowd, and though he didn't admit it, his fellow sorcerers, including him himself knew exactly what-no, who he was looking for.

Amidst the luminosity of glowing ocherous lanterns and the light of the moon and the shimmering stars, hundreds of sorcerers socialized among themselves, their excitement contagious. The tantalizing smell of the market snacks hindered the air, inviting the visitants to try a snack or two.

You appeared in his vision like a bold beautiful brushstroke on a painting, a sudden striking, making his eyes wide. Your bright red yukata adorned with the silhouettes of white blossoms making you stand out of the crowd.

His eyes were soft when they fell upon you, it was the look that made your heart drop to your stomach and your knees weaken. He didn't say anything provoking you to start a conversation with your beloved.

"You are looking more handsome with your messy hair, love."

"I believe I have a name.'' He said making you stifle a laugh

Why didn't you tell me you were coming back early?" He demanded. His face was composed as ever but you knew him better. He was angry with you for not coming to your shared apartment.

''I wanted to give you a surprise." You responded with a smile illuminating your already lively face.

Massaging his temples he sighed. Eyes again observing your attire. It wasn't like you were unappealing in your usual clothes. He had seen you bare many times, more than he could count. But still, he was stunned by your sheer radiance in the traditional dress. In fact, he was practically breathless, his heart threatening to leap out of his chest.

You didn't mention him but he knew you better than anything he had studied. Even when you were kids, you opted to wear black dyed clothes unlike other female friends of yours. He concluded in his mind that you were forced by your fellow female friends to go with a bright-colored yukata.

Smiling you took a step forward, putting your non-dominant hand on your wooer's jaw. Closing his sleep-deprived eyes, he leaned into the warmth of your touch. A genuine smile appeared on his lips as your fingers caressed the fresh scar below his eye.

You knew he loved you. He wasn't the type of man who went wearing his heart on his sleeves. But those soft gazes And seldom when he felt like sharing those special words with you, he did tell you. Although, they were spelled out with his face turned to the side or in the crook of your neck.

He opened his eyes to gaze at your smiling form again. Elevating his dominant hand, he cupped your hand, already resting on his cheek.

"Someone's being an extreme softie." You ridiculed him with an indicative smirk acknowledging that he always managed to melt because of your affection.

Grazing his thumb across your lips he chuckled. Before tilting your chin upwards, lips finally touching yours and causing your eyes to automatically flutter close before answering the question he demanded, he presented,

"You didn't take a shower. Did you?"
