"What a beautiful day.."

Chaeyoung inhaled the autumn breeze. She's going to her mom's office to give her forgotten lunch. Its her off today, as from his Aunt's Asian coffee shop.

She smiled as she pedaled her silver japanese bike. While appreciating the beauty of Manhattan.

Their life has been tough since her dad left them for another woman and ran to New Jersey. Her mom is an office worker and can't afford to continue their study in private school. So she needs scholarship to get into her dream High School.

She gripped the break handle and stopped in a brick walled prestigious All Girls Preparatory School,Sakura Hills.. It's an international school founded by a Japanese billionaire and since then, it became a the Top School for Girls with Rich backgrounds.

If only her dad didn't cheat. They can still afford to study at this school without taking scholarship exam.

Her dad is a neurosurgeon with a salary of between 70 to 85 thousand per month.

They had a beautiful life. But then her dad decided to be an idiot and ran with a colleague. They will only get 30k a month from her dad. And its not enuf for them. Her younger sister Ellie, is still studying in a private school worth 20k a year. They can't sacrifice Ellie's study. So her mom needed to work part time online while her, needs to part time,also. Thank Goodness, her Aunt Min, has a coffee/pastry shop.

"I will wear your uniform and be your student Sakura Hills.." Chaeyoung smiled brightly as she looks up to the brick wall of the school.

"Mom, I can do it.." Chaeyoung said as she bit a piece of apples her mom prepared for her."I'm smart enuf to pass the scholarship program of Sakura Hills.."

"I know.." Soohyang, gently sat down on the leather couch beside her daughter."But why do you really want to study there?"

"Mom, I already told you.." Chaeyoung stopped eating and looked at her Mother. "That school is an international school. That means, racism is rare there.And especially, it got a great reputation."

Her mother sighed... She knows her daughter. If she wants something, she'll do everything to get it.

"Mom, don't worry.." Chaeyoung held her mom's hands. "I will do everything for us,three. I'm doing this for you and Ellie. I will finish my study and be successful so you don't have to work anymore..."

They both smiled.

Deep inside, Chaeyoung's mother is still worried for her eldest daughter. She's afraid that someday, Chaeyoung's braveness will take her to something dangerous.

But she can't do anything. She can't afford to even take them to Korea for good. She was born here,so her daughters. Korea is stranger to her. So they're stuck on this country where racism and injustice towards asians is normal.

She needs to trust her daughter.

"This is it!" Chaeyoung screamed after seeing an email from Sakura Hills.

Her heart pounding fast and she's sweating. She's confident on her answers on the test when she took it 2 weeks ago but still....

"Eomma!!!" Chaeyoung ran downstairs as she looks for her mom on the kitchen. "Mom?!"

"Why are you screaming??" Mom asked frowning..

Chaeyoung exhaled. "I got an email from Sakura Hills.."
