"What the hell happened?! I was so worried the moment Jaehyun oppa called me to tell me you were already in the dorms and was in no condition to call me!" Minji exclaimed the moment I step out of my bedroom the next morning.
Yeah, Minji moved into my dorms the moment my roommate moved out a week before our graduation.
I looked down, "I'm sorry." I apologized to her and proceeded to tell her what happened last night. The moment I finished my story, Minji hugged me.
"I'm so sorry I left you last night, this is all my fault." she apologized softly, I shook my head at her.
"It's not your fault, I was a bit stupid anyways to believe him in the first place." Minji was about to complain before I decided to cut her off, "A small part of me would always blame myself but I'll try not to think that way because Jaehyun told me over and over that it was out of my control." I chuckled.
Minji looked at me in confusion, "Jaehyun? Without the ssi or oppa?" she asked. I nodded at her. "WHAT?! HOW?! WHEN?!" She immediately screamed in excitement.
I shook my head at her antics, "We're friends now, so we call each other without honorifics."
She looked at me with suspicious eyes, before shrugging the thought off and smiled at me. "What happened to Seunghoo though?"
I grimaced at 'his' name, despite being quite better about this whole ordeal I still feel like puking when I remember the scene or his name though. "Jaehyun called the police the moment I calmed down, I don't know the rest of the story though." I sighed.
"Can you like.." I started nervously, Minji went to hold both of my hands, rubbing it as comfort. "Can you not leave my side ever? Until the day I feel confident and safe enough to be alone." I asked her softly, afraid if it's too much of a request since that means we'll be clinging together.
She then looked at me as if I was cra.
"I'm sorry if it's too much to re-"
"OF COURSE I WILL! IS THAT EVEN A QUESTION?!" She exclaimed, causing me to look at her in confusion. "I was planning to do that even without you asking, you know how much you mean to me, Haewon." she said while pulling me into another hug.
I hugged her back, feeling grateful to have such a wonderful best friend. We stayed like that for a few minutes before she pulled away. "Do you think you can go to the August liner birthday party tomorrow in this condition? We can call in sick if you want to, Jaehyun oppa would also help us."
I looked at her in confusion, she then facepalmed her face. "Stupid Minji, forgetting things again."
"The August liner which are Mark, devil Jaemin and Xiaojun are hosting a birthday party tomorrow. Their birthdays are all in August and they decided to host it together." She told me.
"Devil Jaemin?" I asked while trying to remember what he did to deserve the nickname devil from Minji.
She nodded at me, "That guy would always tease me whenever I see him, even when we're working he would still tease me. I can even hear his voice teasing me and his god damn smirk appearing in my dreams." She shuddered, "Tell me how can I not call him the devil?"
"It seems that he's very invested in doing that to the point that he even appears in your dreams."
The moment I said that, Minji chocked on thin air. I patted her back, did I say anything wrong? Minji noticed the confusion written on my face, "As expect of you, Haewon. You're too innocent to the point you didn't realize that you're indirectly shipping me with him."
I looked at her, still confused before realization dawn on my face. "Oh right that's a possibility as well!" I beamed at her.
She shook her head and pouted, "There's no way that devil likes me, vice versa. He just enjoys to tease me too much for my liking."
