Chapter 14

Haewon's P.O.V

"Where are you going, Haewon?" Minji asked me when she noticed me wearing a hoodie and sweatpants at 10 pm.

"I'm going out to meet Jaehyun for awhile, don't worry." I reassured her and she nodded, finding it normal since I haven't told her about what happened this afternoon.

Oh god, I feel so nervous. What if he glares at me like this afternoon? I don't think my heart can take it.

But.. I believe Jaehyun wouldn't act like that without something bothering him. And his actions doesn't excuse my action of being rude in the practice room. I texted an apology to 127 members except for Jaehyun awhile ago. I wanted to find the exact words to find out what was wrong with him and to apologize to him when he suddenly messaged me to meet with him.

"Elle." He called out to me as soon as he saw me step down the stairs. 

"Jae.." I whispered softly, seeing him smiling like usual to me. "Come here, do you want to take a walk in the park around here?" He asked me while extending his hand towards me.

I nodded at him, before looking at him in confusion. Despite my confusion, I still gave my hand to his extended hand, wondering why he needed my hand. I blushed when he took my hand and wrapped his fingers around mine, grinning happily when he did that.

I wanted to ask that but I find the silence and the new warmth around my hand comfortable. I looked up to the sky and saw the moon shining brightly tonight. I unknowingly let a smile crept to my face.

"The moon is beautiful tonight, right?" He asked me. I nodded at him while I continue to look up at the sky in amazement. 

He suddenly stopped walking, causing me to turn to look at him. I realized that it's time for us to have a talk regarding our fight this afternoon.

"I'm sorry." I said to him, while taking my hand away for his. He stared at me in confusion so I decided to continue saying what I had to say. "I'm sorry for being rude this afternoon. Something probably happened to you, causing you to act that way. As your best friend, I was supposed to comfort you and so but instead I blew up, causing the whole situation to be worse. I'm sorry, Jae." I apologized to him, looking down at the floor, shameful about my actions.

I felt sudden warmth around my cheeks, causing me to look up at Jaehyun who had both of his hands on my cheeks. My heart started to speed up, I'm pretty sure I'm blushing right now.

He chuckled, "Why are you acting so cute right now? Caring about me so much to the point you don't demand an apology for my actions this afternoon." He said and started to caress my cheek.

A warm feeling started to spread in my heart. A really familiar feeling I haven't felt in a long time.

"It's not your fault, Elle. I'm sorry for getting mad at you for no reason this afternoon, I was just jealous. I admit that sounds so childish, but you're the only one that can make me feel that way. I promise to be more mature about this next time." He said, while staring at my eyes with a softest look in his face that I've never seen before.

Jealous?

I giggled a bit, "Why would you be jealous, Jae?" I stared back into his eyes. I felt relieved since I thought something bad actually happened to him.

"I was worried that you would replace me." he pouted, causing me to giggle more. "I know that doesn't excuse my harsh words towards you, but I just want you to know that I'm really sorry and I hope that you'll forgive me." he whispered while pulling my face closer to his to stare at my eyes more.
